In Which He Talks A Lot

Before he even had a chance to respond, which meant before he could even talk, she leaned down toward his face. She was able to recognize his breathing from a distance.

They appeared ferocious and were quite hefty for their size.

A fire-shaped brooch was dangling from John's coat, and it was fastened with a pin. She had the coat in her hands, and her fingertips were lightly touching John as she did so. She did so carefully, and yet she repinned it in the exact position. She used her hand to lightly stroke his chest. "There."

After saying, "I didn't ask you to do that, Miss Lisa," John's eyes appeared to take on a more intense shade of scarlet at this point in the conversation. His normal tone had become icier and more scathing than ever before.

"Don't push yourself beyond the limits of your capabilities. You will be joining us as a member of the crew. That is the sum total of your existence. I do not require any assistance from you, Miss Lisa. When John said this, the bones and muscles in his face were noticeably more pronounced all of a sudden. John expressed the hope that his audience had a solid grasp of the concept. When someone's fury has reached the point where they can no longer describe it, the nerve in their forehead and the nerve in their neck, both of which Lisa was aware of, become exposed.

Lisa didn't utter a word. She was well aware that the situation would become much more precarious as a result of the steps that she took.

John wished for the two of them, saying, "and I also hope that you are not immune to learning and that you do not repeat your mistakes."

Lisa experienced a sensation similar to that of an arrow being sent into her body with each and every word that was spoken. If the words were an arrow, she would be laying on the ground with a pool of blood filling up this room as a result of being struck by it. This room would be filled with blood if she were lying on the ground. In the past, no one had the intestinal fortitude to speak to her in such a manner. As soon as she was back on solid ground, she resolved to strike back with an even greater amount of force than she had been struck with.

This brought back painful memories of other times in her life when she had been helpless and unable to put up a fight.

She showed her acknowledgment of John's statements by giving a slight nod.

"Miss Lisa, I trust that you are not trying to gain an advantage over us by virtue of the fact that you are a foreigner from the Creature world and a musician. In the event that you do not alter this behavior, we may be left with no other option but to ship you off to the next planet.

I cannot wait until I am free of this obligation. She was thinking about expressing that, but she was also aware that it wouldn't be of any use in the situation. After all, she is putting in effort to achieve her own objectives.

Aside from that, she was conscious that she had no choice but to let the malicious remarks and statements that he aimed toward her pass without responding. She did this because she knew that she had no control over the situation.

Because he was already in so much pain, she could not have caused him any further injury than he was already experiencing. If it weren't for the wheelchair, he would have been a very different man. Having said that, she did cause him quite a bit of harm.

His anguish was much more severe than hers was at any point.

Lisa made an effort to disavow the fact that she felt sorry for him, but the fact remained that she did. She was well aware that he would look down on her if he saw it, so she made every effort to keep it a secret from him.

The eradication of that discomfort, on the other hand, was not done with the intention of rendering him unable to walk. If he had been able to support himself, she would have continued to care for him in the same manner. On the other hand, there was no way to explain that to him in a way that he would understand.

He was unconcerned with logic and rational argument.

As she reassured him, "John, anything even somewhat like to this will never occur again," she spoke in a chilly manner and kept her voice low.

After emerging from the corridor, John gave them the direction to make a turn to the right in order to find the tailor's office.
