In Which He Looks For Explanation

Only John's racing heartbeat and hard breathing could be heard in the silence that followed. "I will never be anything other than a handicap in this life. It is an inevitability that I shall be in need of aid from another individual. It's embarrassing that I am the person that I am. He mumbled something along the lines of, "How much longer am I going to have to put up with this?"

His life was devoid of any drama or twists and turns that were unexpected. His entire body appeared to be a lifeless relic as it lay there on the ground where it had fallen.

John was the kind of exhausted that could not be remedied by taking a nap, going on vacation, or doing anything else for that matter. John was worn out from the day.

The darkness that encircled his eyes, combined with the tiredness that was visible under them, made it obvious that he was in a state of abject anguish and helplessness.

He had soft eyes that flickered gently, his hands were bloodied and injured, and the flame that burned within him was never put out. He is continually being burned from the inside out by it.

Something unforeseen was happening, something that had never happened before in the history of the world. John was able to hear Lisa playing the violin and she was playing in the background. On the other hand, she was nowhere to be found.

He searched in every conceivable nook and cranny for her, just in case she had been able to sneak in without him knowing, but he couldn't find any indication that she was actually present.

Why was he even in the position to hear her play if she wasn't even in the same room with him?

The music was just as calming as it always is, just like it always is. He had previously heard her play the same tune in the loading area, and she was currently playing the same tune as she had before.

Both then and now, it was able to keep his attention, which was a feat it had previously accomplished. A person who was completely lost in a woods maze and had no way out would hear the music and feel an echoed feeling of freedom if they were able to experience it.

It was getting to the point when he would no longer be identifiable and would simply give up. He was considering whether or not to alter the path that the ship was currently on.

He was flirting with the concept of going to a desolate island, sitting there, and either waiting for death to come to him or perhaps even hastening the process of dying. He would travel to the island, sit there, and wait for death.

But the music had come to him like a white ladder dangling in a well in the middle of which there was nothing but blackness. You can see the sky and hear the people walking by from the well, but no one can see you scream and cry because they can't see you from the well. No one can see you from the well.

It was his last ditch effort to grasp the idea of living a happy and fulfilled life, and the song was his vehicle for doing so. It would have been possible for him to go out of the dark well and back into the outside world if he had just climbed up the ladder.

While he was trying to concentrate on Lisa, he closed his eyes.

He murmured something under his breath that sounded like, "The girl in red."

His head was turned to the side, and he was slouching in the opposite direction. After a momentary flutter that seemed like the movement of two leaves as they brushed against one another in a garden in the springtime, he closed his eyes. The anger had subsided and taken the form of a flower before it was carried away by a waterfall. The waterfall washed it away.

While he was trying to fall asleep, he couldn't help but think of his previous existence.

As long as he was nodding off, the music continued to play in the background.

In the dream, a whirlwind engulfed his dragon form as it traveled across the sky like a comet moving through space. This occurred while he was asleep.

Firecrackers had lighted the dark blue of the night, and miniature lights had been used to illuminate the tombs and castles of the dragon tribe.

John pushed his way through the mist and into the murky water of the ocean as soon as he broke through the clouds. When John was in his dragon form, his eyes were a fiery red color, and the color of his dragon form was a dark shade of blood red, which was comparable to the color of his dragon form.
