She gave the impression that they were the intended recipients of the wrongdoing that had been done.

Lisa's jaw was hanging open because she was so stunned, and her brows were furrowed because she was so perplexed as she looked at her friend with amazement.

"Are you certain in your assertion?" 

After Paul finished his statements, Lisa gave a shrug of the shoulders and then extended her hand to the crowd before saying, "We're..." 

Paul had just finished presenting his case in front of the audience. Paul had just finished speaking.

Lisa paused what she was doing as she drew a circle with her forefinger around the rim of the plate that Mona was working from. 

"Would you rather have me apologize or give you an additional croissant?" Lisa asked Mona. "Please accept my apologies for the difficulties this brings."
