Chapter 1

Elsa smiled at her reflection in the mirror.

"You are beautiful, baby girl." She whispered. She was wearing a cold shoulder blood-red dress that had a split on both sides to expose her legs to her mid-thigh; the front of the dress had a deep V neck that left exposed a quarter of both breasts, her hair was styled to rest on only one shoulder; she had a matching lip gloss.

Today was her engagement party. The hall was already filled to the brim yet she could not bring herself to descend yet. No, she wasn't insecure, she was just nervous. She was going to start a family soon. She would be off the single list soon. She would hold her first child soon. The thought both terrified and excited her.

"Darling," Her mother knocked softly and peaked in " Micheal is getting restless. He's been glancing at the staircase for an hour now."

Elsa gave her mom a small smile as she stepped into the room.

"What's wrong darling?" Mrs. Snow whispered as she picked up her daughter's hand and interlaced her fingers with hers.

"How did you feel when you married dad?"

Her father and mother were living proof that love does exist. They both had been married for thirty years. Her mother miscarried two children before her and was not able to get pregnant after her birth, but her father loved her mother so much. When she was a teenager, she found their love disgusting and annoying, but growing up, she admired and desired the type of love they had and she found that with Michael. She was so sure he loved her. They had been dating for three years now and he practically kissed the ground she walked on. He was possessive but he made sure her wish was his command. She knew she would not regret this marriage. But is it wrong? Is it wrong that there is a tiny doubting voice saying otherwise? Is it wrong that they never fought for three years? Is it... Elsa shook her head and looked expectantly at her mother.

Her mother gave her a sweet smile and laughed.

"I was nervous at first, we only dated for a few months. The thought of spending a lifetime with your father was frightening you know. But I loved him. I loved your father so much that the thought of being apart from him drove me to insanity. Yes, we had our differences, and..we fought over the littlest things, but we were happy and I knew your father loved me too. And that love was enough to keep us together." She smiled at her daughter as she subtly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.

Elsa smiled. She loved hearing about her parent's love story. It was comforting and motivating.

"Okay, let's go before my makeup gets ruined." She tilted her head backward to prevent the tears that had pooled in her eyes from falling.

"And before Micheal tears the hotel down." Elsa chuckled. Her fiancee was also a very impatient man. She had a few scars on her back to prove it and they haven't even had sex yet, just PDA and a few other nasty kinds of stuff.

...…....

Micheal inhaled the small piece of material he had in his pocket. It was his fiancee's hair from the hairbrush she had left at his place a few days ago. He didn't want to, he was receiving treatment for this problem but lately, he hadn't had enough time to visit his therapist and his problem was gradually returning. Only her scent could calm him. Only her. No one but her.

His head snapped to the top of the staircase as she descended. Everyone's eyes were on her and that made him mad. He was furious, he wanted to draw blood. His fist was clenched so tightly, he was surprised when he didn't break the skin. He inhaled her hair again and approached her.

"What are you wearing?" Elsa smiled at him which instantly calmed him.

"Don't you like it? Leo designed it." Of course, it was that bastard assistant of hers. He had come close to killing that bastard many times. He often sat in his car waiting for the idiot to leave his office building. He knew everything about him.

Micheal managed a smile." It's ahhhh pretty. Quite revealing, but pretty. Please tell me he's not working on the dress too."

"Oh shush" She gave him a peck on the lips and pulled him toward her father.

"There's my baby girl."

"Daddy." Elsa groaned" You can't call me that anymore, I am getting married soon."

Mr.Snow chuckled "You will always be my little girl."

Elsa was about to reply when Leo tapped the microphone.

"Can I have your attention Ladies and Gentlemen?" Everyone immediately quietened down to listen to what the young man had to say.

"Today is the last day of my beautiful boss's single life." He paused and pretended to wipe a tear from the corner of his eye. Elsa laughed and rolled her eyes. 'What a childish young man' she thought.

"This day is special because it is a day of love and kindness. Miss Snow, soon to be Mrs. White, is a woman of a big heart. She is hardworking, successful, and intelligent and that is why I say congratulations to the most lucky man on earth, Mr. Micheal White." He paused as people gave a round of applause.

"Let's raise a toast to a bright and wonderful future of the couple. One that is to be filled with annoying chits called kids." He paused as everyone laughed again."Most importantly, .....A future of love and happiness. I love you boss" Everyone gave a round of applause but no one could sense the angry aura Micheal had around him. Everyone knew it was a simple speech from a friend to a friend, but Micheal saw it as a possible declaration of a competition.

"Hey what's wrong?" Elsa whispered as she touched his arm. He didn't drink his wine to the toast. She knew Micheal did not have the best feelings towards her assistant but she blamed it on his caveman behavior.

"Nothing, I just can't wait for you to mine and only mine." Elsa smiled sweetly at his declaration, but she wasn't aware of the underlying meaning to the sentence. She wasn't aware of the tragedy the future held for her.
