Arielle nodded. She said, "Sasha helped me really well. The boy never got tired of playing in the sun. And this afternoon, he swam almost all day in this lake."
"Sounds fun," the man's heart envied that Sasha could spend the whole day with Arielle.
"I wouldn't comment if Sasha did a good job."
"Sasha is still a child. I want him to have a good time in the South. I can protect myself well."
Ronan nodded in understanding. He grabbed the ends of Arielle's dangling hair and played it with his index finger.
"I will pick you up… immediately."
Arielle remembered what her brother, Archie, had said about her father accepting the proposal of another man named Duke Pellington for her.
"Ronan. Do… you know about a man called Duke Pellington?" asked Arielle quietly. She hesitated to ask Ronan this, but she wanted him to know about her family.
