Kael put his hand in front of Lazarus, signalling the man not to act rashly. The night had come. The wolf in front of him was Ronan who had lost his human side. The best thing for them to do was run away, but no matter how fast they ran, it would be in vain. Ronan would easily catch up to them.
"We're slowly retreating," Kael whispered to reduce the sound as low as possible.
Then, the sky became brighter. Kael and Lazarus looked up to see the moon shining brightly for the first time in their lives. Both of them were so flabbergasted that they forgot the danger in front of them. The moonlight that night was very bright. It made every dark side on the riverbank slowly become visible. Now, it was not only Lazarus who cursed.
