The Rage Of Fire

Arielle touched Irene's arm, which was hiding behind her body. "I'm here to protect my family," she said, making Darui clench his fists tightly.

"Do you think I'm stupid? You planned this with Maxieno, right? That rancid flames brat had prepared all this, right? There's no way that lecherous dragon would allow another creature to return so easily after crossing his territory."

"I'm telling the truth," Arielle replied as she turned her gaze to Darui's knees.

Darui wanted to touch the dragon egg, but Arielle wrapped it up again with the cloth.

"I'll give it to you if you let Arthur and Irene go first."

"Oh, of course I'll let them go. They are also useless to me," said Darui. He whistled, then asked his guard to release the chains on Irene's wrists and legs.

"If they are useless, why do you keep them and not let them return to our kingdom?"

"Arthur didn't tell you?"
