The Ancient Curse (Cecillia's Point Of View)

At that time, I could only be silent. My body felt stiff. I had never heard that voice, but it seemed like his voice immediately shook my heart greatly.

"Miss, can't you see?" he asked.

I shook my head. I didn't know what kind of answer I should give. Besides, I was confused about how to get back to the castle now? Should I turn around? But, in which direction? I, myself, didn't know where I fell before.

I was about to ask for help until I felt my body lifted by someone. It felt like floating in the air. I could feel a pair of strong and sturdy hands holding me from falling.

"I can walk alone."

"You know the way home?" asked the mysterious man.

"I think I'm lost."

It was surprising to me that, at that moment, I did not feel afraid at all. I wasn't stammering or nervous. Somehow, it felt right to be in his embrace. My feeling told me that he was a really kind man, and I didn't feel any signs of aggression from him at all.
