Cai
How could I tell Siv everything I wanted to? Where did I even start for something like this? "Siv."
He turned to me, eyes thoughtful. His entire body still pulsed from using his powers earlier. "Tell me one thing, Cai."
I winced. I didn't like that tone. "Yes?" I demanded, voice thick. I'd wrested control away from the demon, but who knew how long I would retain it.
"Do you plan to rebel against the Master for your mate?"
"Siv, I don't think I should-" He held up a hand, halting my words. Lowering my head, I stared at the ground, searching it for an answer. The demon might take control back from me with this response. "I'll do whatever I have to in order to rescue her."
"That's what I thought." He winced, tending to his injuries. "Cai, I'm your brother."
Well, that was pointless to say. I opened my mouth to speak, but a glare silenced me.
