Chapter 8 Cason's Family Affairs

Jonathan Cason was a spendthrift, without any business means and brain.

When her mother was alive, he could help her a little. Since her mother died, Jessica George took her illegitimate daughter to the Cason family. The Cason group had made many mistakes in business. It could be said that if it weren't for the support of Henry Roberts, the Cason group would have gone bankrupt.

Hearing the news that Nancy Cason was going to divorce Henry Roberts, Jonathan Cason was stunned.

If Nancy Cason divorced Henry Roberts, wouldn't he lose Henry Roberts as his backer?

Moreover, he had borrowed so much money from Henry Roberts before. Should he return all of them now?

Jonathan Cason got angry at once. "What nonsense are you talking about? You can't divorce casually."

Nancy Cason felt funny. In the past, she and her mother left the Cason family and lived in exile. She couldn't even afford her mother's medical expenses.

The Cason family didn't even look at them. On the contrary, when she married Henry Roberts, Jonathan Cason suddenly thought of her daughter.

He just wanted to sell her to Henry Roberts for support.

Nancy Cason said coldly, "Marriage is my own business. I can divorce whenever I want. It's none of your business."

"When I left the Cason family, I made it clear to you that from now on, I will no longer be a member of the Cason family. The money is borrowed by you, so it is natural for you to pay it back. If Henry Roberts asks for whatever he wants, you will be responsible for it. It has nothing to do with me."

After saying that, she turned around and wanted to leave, but there was an affected voice behind her.

"Sister."

Wearing a snow-white gauze dress, Annie Cason timidly walked out of the villa.

"Dad and mom asked you to come back today because they want us to have a family reunion. Why do you have to say such harsh words?"

She glanced at Henry Roberts coquettishly, bit her lips, blushed, and said softly, "If it weren't for our Cason family, how could you marry Mr. Roberts? Mr. Roberts is so good to you, how could you divorce him?"

When Nancy Cason saw Annie Cason, she sneered even more.

In the past few years, she had seen how Annie Cason behaved in front of Henry Roberts.

It could be said that if she hadn't been engaged to Henry Roberts before, Annie Cason would have tried her best to be Mrs. Roberts.

How could she pretend to be so innocent?

Nancy said coldly, "You'd better know who your family is. Your parents are your parents, not mine."

"My mother only has one daughter, so you call me sister..."

Squinting her eyes, Nancy Cason replied, "I feel dirty."

"You..."

Annie Cason's face changed. She walked towards Henry Roberts and said with a grievance, "Brother, I just think that my sister's sudden request to divorce you goes too far. I don't mean anything else... Brother works so hard. As your wife, my sister should be gentle, considerate, and take care of you. If I were her, I would be wholeheartedly kind to you and would not act willfully with you..."

Jonathan Cason flattered Henry Roberts. "Mr. Roberts, don't worry. Nancy Cason won't divorce you."

In the face of the Cason family's performance, a hint of playing flashed through in Henry Roberts' deep eyes.

After a while, he smiled carelessly and said, "You misunderstood Nancy, father."

"It's all my fault. She got angry with me today, so she wanted to divorce me."

He walked up to Nancy Cason, put his arm around her waist on purpose, pretended to be a "good husband" and apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry, honey. Don't be angry with me. I promise I won't make you angry again. I'll put you on the first."
