Just throw it away

Geana's Rental House

Slam!

Geana, who had closed the door to the room where Gretta was, didn't move with her back leaning against the door.

Her head was tilted up there, suddenly remembering last night's events that made her participate in heart sports.

Really, that night she just felt weird when she didn't usually work her way through a dead-end branch alley.

Even though she knows that the alley she lives in is not that safe. But, when she witnessed a woman almost being abused like that, she felt sorry for herself. Who knows, even though she's used to it, but she's suddenly scared when she sees an incident like last night.

Actually, she wasn't even sure she could stand up to the four men, were it not for the sound of the artificial sirens and the threat of the nuts.

Yes, she didn't even know that being able to fool people in this way pleased herself.

She shook her head, trying to forget how Gretta looked when she came to help and carry her to her little boarding house. She even got a leave of absence from work, with lectures and debts that were again recorded by her boss at the club there.

Geana returned to continue her intention to go to the kitchen, to be precise, the kitchen doubles as a place to wash clothes and also other activities that she routinely does every morning.

Geana is not a rich person, who just sleeps, the housework will be done. She is just an unlucky woman with a burden of debt piling up, forcing her to work for the rest of her life, hoping to pay it off and live a quiet life afterwards.

Yes, although not sure about the part of her quiet life, because she herself realized she wasn't someone who was free anymore after that incident.

Ah! Thinking of this gave her a sudden migraine.

"I better get off to work quickly, so I can watch television with Gretta," muttered Geana, deciding to hurry up the rest of her homework.

A few moments later…

Creak!

The bedroom door opened with Gretta standing in the doorway. Before actually stepping out, she looked around the living room and did not find the existence of the woman she remembered named Geana.

"Where's Gea?" Gretta muttered as she walked slowly down the narrow living room and into another room she didn't know what it was.

However, Gretta has not had time to go any further. She saw another door open, with a breeze on what she believed was a balcony.

From where she stood he could hear someone singing a song. Her voice was quite comfortable and she stood in the middle of the door, staring at the back of a woman who was busy drying clothes.

Her eyes glanced at the strange activity in front of her, an activity she had never seen in her entire life.

Tap!

"Oh my! Gretta, you startled me."

Huh!?

Gretta, who heard a small shriek from Geana also flinched, seemed equally surprised by different reasons she felt. And she couldn't help but smile awkwardly at Geana's reaction.

"Sorry," Gretta muttered uncomfortably.

"No, it's okay. It's my fault, I'm used to being alone so when someone like this likes to forget myself," said Geana explaining. "Ah! That, the clothes you wore yesterday were almost torn here and there-

"Gea," interrupted Gretta reflexively "Sorry," she continued squeaking when she felt disrespectful.

Geana waved her hand, as if to understand what Gretta said suddenly interrupted her.

"It's okay," said Geana understandingly. "So, it's okay. What if I throw it away? Even though I can still fix it," she continued explaining.

Gretta shook her head without hesitation, then walked over to Geana and stood face to face.

Tap!

"It's okay, Gea. Instead, I want to thank you for throwing it away," said Gretta explaining "That dress indirectly reminds me of last night," she continued sadly.

Geana nodded understandingly to hear that. Her dry hand just patted Gretta's shoulder lightly.

Pat!

"I see. Don't remember it again, it's for your own good," Geana advised with the nod she received from Gretta.

"You're right."

"Well, you better wait for me in the living room. Soon I was done and after that we both watched television. Agree?" added Geana commanding softly.

"No Gea," Gretta refused, shaking her head. "I want to help you. Let's finish quickly," she continued, offering to help.

This new help she was given, what a life in free fall.

"Ah?! It is okay. It's going to be over soon," said Geana, refusing. "Only this and this," she continued, pointing, as if to confirm what she said.

"It's okay, Gea. I just want to repay your kindness by not being silent," said Gretta, again refusing with the reason "Anyway, I have to learn and get used to this kind of thing," she continued in a low voice.

"What do you mean?" Geana was confused by Gretta's soft mumble.

What, why do you use all kinds of learning activities to dry? What kind of life is this Gretta, to the point where she's just learning what is called drying.

"That's okay. Anyway, I want to help you, can I?" Gretta said without explaining and only made Geana who felt strange frown.

However, not wanting to complicate the matter of drying, Geana nodded and handed a hanger to Gretta who accepted it happily

"Fine, here! Shirt, then tuck it like this," Geana agreed while showing how to dry a shirt.

"Ok, I understand!" Gretta said excitedly.

They cleaned the boarding house and ended up lying in the living room, normalizing the wheezing for Gretta who had just been feeling tired while sweeping.

Brugh!

"Honestly, Gretta has just been cleaning the house. It turns out to be tiring," Gretta muttered as she normalized her breathing.

She was tired from exercise and almost sweating. But more tiring, believe me…

Geana, who heard Gretta's statement, chuckled. Where did her family come from?

"Then you have to get used to it," said Geana in her usual voice, not at all ragged breathing like Gretta.

Instead she got back up and grabbed the television remote, then lay down next to Gretta once the screen was full of the picture.

"Seems like it has to be. Maybe Gretta will find a job and a house to rent too," Gretta said without looking at Geana, when the woman turned and scrutinized her words.

"Find another house? Did you really get kicked out of the house? But, where do you want to find a job?" Geana asked in succession. "You know that finding a job is difficult and again, do you have any legal documents? Remembering that you were picked on last night?" she continued explaining.

Gretta immediately looked at Geana who was looking at her with a serious expression. She did tell the story from the start of being pickpocketed to almost being raped. However, she passed the real story and she also confirmed what Geana said even though she was new.

She doesn't want to be a burden to Geana, whose life she doesn't know about.

"But-

Pat!
