CHAPTER FORTY FOUR

I did as instructed, not wanting to start up a fight with him. They were easy for me to carry while he gazed around. I knew it was going to be late at night, besides, that's how we do operate. Once I was done as he instructed, I clapped my hand to release the dust it had and then jogged to where he stood.

"What next?" I inquired with a brightened up face.

"The office" he muttered, and I sighed sadly. Why did he bring me here in the first place, when all I needed to do was to transfer the machines outside.

"Julie, place your hand here" he ordered pointing a finger at a chest which looked like a screen. I glanced at him and quickly did so, immediately I placed my hand, it felt Iike though I was stucked to it. I cocked my head at Brian who was beside me, he was connecting strains of invisible wires that only I could see.
