CHAPTER NINETY NINE.

"That sounds like a great idea, but doesn't seem very soon" he said and she groaned in silence knowing that her request was going to take forever to come true.

"Dad is there something I need to know between you guys?" She questioned attempting not to act suspicious around him.

"I doubt not" he responded and she let out a weary smile while resting her head on his shoulder. She didn't want to have herself believing that her supposed mother lied to her and her best wishes for her father to stay happy.

"I love you dad" she suddenly said and he scoffed. Whenever she said that, it could only mean she demanded something from him.

"I hope your proposal wouldn't be something I can't handle" he mused which made her chuckle loudly.

"Ya right dad, but you can handle it" she beckoned as they both chuckled while riding home. He cracked jokes just to make her laugh out her pains but deep inside, he felt agonized for reasons he couldn't account for.
