Lucian brought her to Amelia's boutique for choosing a dress.

Valerie wasn't fond of this place. Nonetheless, she knew she couldn't let her emotions get in the way. Amelia welcomed Lucian warmly and stared at Valerie awkwardly. On the other hand, Valerie remained impassive.

Following this, while Lucian sat on the couch, playing on his phone, he ordered Amelia to select few dresses for her, appropriate for the occasion. At this, Amelia shot him a glare.

After that, she composed herself and started to introduce the dresses to Valerie. She went to talk about how great the quality was and which trended.

In her business, it was necessary for Valerie to know about trends. But even so, selecting her own clothes was a foreign concept to her. Instead of something flashy and attractive, she preferred one that was practical— one that wouldn't hinder her movements.
