The corner of her lips twitched when she saw Kayden Gray standing in front of her. Seeing that unpleasant expression on his face, she could already feel a headache forming.

Regardless of how much Laura hated the tone he used on her, she knew that the fault was on her, and she didn't wish to entangle with him for longer. Knowing him, who knew what accusations he might throw at her at the middle of the hallway where everyone was listening.

"I am sorry, Mr. Gray," she voiced out.

He scoffed.

"Sorry? What an empty word do? Will it be able to take away the damage caused?" he questioned while glaring at her.

She knew that the issue he had wasn't the situation right now. It was of the grudge he held against her for long, and about this matter, Laura felt more indignant. He was adamant on accusing her without trusting her.

She didn't want to deal with this nutcase for any long and analyze his behavior.
