Too Audacious

"Tch! Next time, I will leave you to your own since you are this ungrateful," he voiced out.

"Now, what did you need?"

There was nothing he needed. But now, because of his lie, he had to think hard to find an excuse. That's when, something popped up in his hand.

"The investment from DTE— are you the one responsible for it?" he questioned.

"DTE? What's that?" The woman feigned confusion.

"Daniel Walters— you have connections with him, don't you? Don't try to deny it. I have prove. You visited the DTE office and had a meeting with the CEO there. I have photos to prove that."

Rye's lips curled up. Those eyes of hers showed surprised.

"I am impressed. You managed to track me for so long. You have strong connections, don't you?"

"Don't avoid the question."

"And if I did. Don't tell me you came here for this small matter? I would rather believe that you are here because you missed me."
