Zack( Crazy Brandy)

After dinner everyone scattered to do their own thing .Skyler and Chloe left to pick up Xavier at Chloe's parents. Damien followed Addie to her room to pack a few things that she wanted to take with her to the Ten Oaks Pack. Mrs. Blair and my mom headed to my moms study in a frantic search for a designer to make Addie a dress for her Luna Ceremony. And my dad along with Beta Thomas took all of our grandparents home with a promise to pick them back up first thing in the morning.

All the old timers was excited about meeting little Xavier. However it was getting late and they didn't want Skyler and Chloe to rush back on their account. So they decided to call it a night and return in the morning to meet Xavier and spend some time with Addie before she leaves with Damien.

Andie and I volunteered to watch over Xavier tonight after he spends a little time with his mom and dad and getting acquainted with his new step parents. Andie reasured me he's stayed with her on several occasions when Chloe had things she needed to do. So he's comfortable with Andie even if Chloe's not around.?With this arrangement it should assure that little Xavier gets a peaceful nights rest.While giving his parents time to enjoy some privacy with their new mates.

With Xavier's sleeping arrangements settled and few appreciative words from his parents. Andie and I headed up to the nursery to get a portable crib for Xavier to sleep in. We also found some age appropriate toys and a couple of books Andie said he would liked. Then we raided the pantry and refrigerator downstairs in the big kitchen and found some animal crackers, milk, juice, and assorted fruits.

After stacking all the food inside Andie's mini fridge, setting up the crib and a small play area that doubled as a reading nook. We made ourselves comfortable on the bed and flipped on the television. Andie was scanning the channels to find us a movie to watch while we waited for Xavier to arrive. When unexpectedly someone knocked on the bedroom door.

Thinking it was my mom or perhaps Addie and Damien checking to see if Skyler and Chloe had made it back yet. I didn't bother to get up I just yelled " it's open" from the bed.

The door flew open and in stalked Brandy " Is it true?" She screeched, glaring at Andie and me with her hands on her hips .

" Is what true?" I ask, not having a clue what she was talking about.

"Don't play with me Zack, I'm not in the mood." Brandy huffed,turning all red in the face for what reason, I'm still not sure.

So I tried again staying as calm as I could without blowing up at the crazy bitch " Brandy,I have no idea what you're talking about? So either tell me or leave it's your choice."I threw in the last part hoping she'll get more pissed off and just leave.Unfortunately that didn't happen .

She just started pacing back and fourth in front of the bed as she fidgeted with her hands clearly agitated. "Skyler's grandma Fran came over to the new house to look at the cabinets mom picked out." She grumbled and stopped pacing for a moment to glare at me again."And do you know what she said?"

I shook my head indicating I didn't know but answered anyway." That she liked the cabinets." I guessed.

" No, well yes, she liked the cabinets but this isn't about the cabinets. It's about Mrs. Fran telling mom that Skyler and Addie both found their mates." Brandy finally got around to saying what this was all about.

" I know isn't that great." I smiled happy to confirm the news.

However Brandy didn't seem as happy to receive the good news as I was to share it. She just started at me mouth hanging open for a moment then asked hesitatingly. "Then it's true?"

" Yeah, it's true."I confirmed, narrowing my eyes suspiciously. ."Now don't go trying to make trouble for Skyler. Unless you want me to punish you again for disrespecting your Beta." I warned,before she could get any silly ideas in that crazy head of her's.

" Really Zack?" She said, and actually had the nerve to roll her damn eyes like she didn't just get punched for spreading lies about me and Andie."I honestly pity Skyler's mate. He's such a mean bossy control freak, an Angel couldn't live with him. But Addie just turned eighteen today. How is it even possible that's she found her mate?"Brandy babbled , looking at me like I had all the answers.

I shrugged "She's just lucky I guess." What else could I say, I'm not the moon goddess.

"I just can't believe it. Who is her mate anyway?" Brandy ask,

" Damien Ross, they're in Addie's bedroom. Why don't you go there and congratulate them?"I suggested hoping she will take her damn drama somewhere else.

" Alpha Damien Ross?"Brandy ask with a frown.

" Brandy, don't go causing trouble for Addie and Damien either." I warned her, just in case she had the hots for Damien now. It wouldn't surprise me or be a stretch to think she might have hooked up with him at my Alpha ceremony. Anything is possible at this point.

" He's going to reject her anyway." She blurted out with a look of satisfaction on her face.

" Don't count on that, Damien waited for his fated mate to bless his pack by the moon goddess and both of them looked really happy to have found each other ." I let her know that she can give up on that idea.It's not happening and she needs to face the facts.

"Just wait until he finds out that she's defective and can't give him an Alpha hire. He'll toss her little young ass to the curb in a blink of an eye."Brandy spouted out giving her long blonde hair a quick toss over her shoulder.

"Did you just call my mate defective ?" Damien roared, from the open door startling Brandy.

"Damien, Addie," I greeted both of them with a smile."come on in. I believe Brandy owes both of you an apology. It's obvious that she has no faith in the moon goddess and believes that a minor issue is cause to reject your fated mate."

At my words Brandy whipped her head around to face Damien "You won't think it's so minor when she can't give you a hire to lead your pack." Brandy said smugly lifting her head in the air to look down her nose at Addie.

Which didn't seem to bother Addie in the least. She just leaned further into Damien's embrace speaking softly. "There's no need to concern yourself with that Brandy, Damien's the sweetest mate ever. He has total faith in me and the moon goddess and we'll overcome any challenges together."

"Just stop with the moon goddess bullshit Addie and tell him the truth before he marks your defective ass and dooms his pack forever." Brandy demanded,with a sneer pointing her finger in Addie's direction and actually stepping closer towards the newly mated couple. Bad move on her part.

Realizing Brandy wasn't intelligent enough to see Damien wasn't happy with her words or actions. I set up straighter using my body as a shield to protect Andie just in case Damien decides to blast Brandy with his aura for disrespecting his mate.

But before things got that far Addie stroked her mates arm and flashed him a smile calming her raging Alpha and let him know that she's got this. "Brandy let me reassure you that I have told Damien about my medical condition and he's fully accepted me ,even though I was born with only one ovary and one Fallopian tube. Making it harder for me to get pregnant, but it's not impossible. So we're just excited about the fact we'll need to put in some longer nights and perhaps some afternoons to increase the size of our family." Addie said suggestively , rubbing her hand across Damien's broad chest with a wink, just to rub Brandy the wrong way.

Brandy turned sour but before she could retort Andie spoke up,gathering everyone's attention. "Miss. Brandy since you have broken pack policy by trying to cause trouble between our guest and his Luna your punishment is no longer in Zack's hands. But in the hands of Alpha Damien and Luna Addison. Now I understand that you were raised in the same house with Addison and it may be a common thing for the two of you to have something similar to sibling squabbles like my sister and I had. Therefore I encourage you to apologize sincerely to Damien and Addison. Perhaps in doing so Addison can convince her mate to leave your punishment in her hands. Which I believe you should pray that he will comply to her wishes because this type of behavior isn't something you can expect to get away with . I also pray this isn't something you do on a regular basis. Because I'm certain if you suggest to my father or any other Alpha that he should reject his fated mate for any reason. You might find yourself in the hospital or worse. " Andie said diplomatically, looking at Brandy expectantly from over my shoulder.

Addie didn't delay a second before getting on her toes to whisper in Damien's ear. Then after mumbling a few words she spun around facing Brandy " Okay let's hear it" She demanded.

Surprisingly Brandy must have realized what she truly done. Or perhaps it was Andie's analogy of using her father to point out the severity of Brandy's offense. Whatever the case was Brandy bowed her head murmured. " I don't know what came over me but I apologize for my rudeness." Keeping her eyes on the ground but fist clenched tightly until Addie spoke again.

" Good enough, Now get out of here. I have no desire to punish you I'll let the moon goddess do that. And believe me your sin of coveting mated men will certainly not go unpunished." Addie preached, making me wonder if she's spent to much time down south in the Bible Belt and suddenly got religious. Or if she's still just trying to fuck with Brandy's head.

Ether way Brandy high tailed it out of Andie's room just before Chloe and Skyler appeared beside the sofa with a sleeping little Xavier cradled in Skyler's arms.

" Put him in that crib." Andie whispered, pointing to the crib we had set up beside the bed.

Not wasting any time Skyler treaded lightly over to the crib easing Xavier down to the soft mattress, kissed his cheek and pulled the little blue blanket over him.

" He must have fought going to sleep tonight with all the excitement of Skyler being at your parents." Damien whispered

" How did you guess?" Chloe ask sounding exhausted.

Damien shrugged " Simple,Skyler's an elite warrior and he was in stealth mode when he laid Xavier down. No sound, no sudden movements.It's exactly how I put him down if he's been a little hellyan."

After seeing everyone grinned at Damien's comment but they didn't dare laugh in fear of waking Xavier. I ask "Y'all up for a night cap, we can go to the living room and leave the door open so that we'll hear him if he wakes up."leaving the invitation open just in case they wanted to leave right now and enjoy their time with their mate.

" Sure, I need one after Brandy showed her ass."Addie sighed , tugging on Damien's hand to move into the living room.

" Wait on us." Chloe whispered taking an one inch long tiny brown bear from her pocket and turning it into a two foot long stuffed animal. She placed it in the crib beside Xavier and grabbed Skyler's hand.

I held my hand out for Andie and smiled when her hand landed in mine and thoes tiny little currents danced across my palm. Then we all moved into the living room where we could speak normally without waking Xavier.

I walked behind the bar with Andie and everyone else grabbed a barstool and told me what the wanted to drink. We all had one drink and laughed when Chloe tried to impersonate her dad's grumpy mood when he realized she was moving away with Xavier. And how his mood instantly improved when Skyler said he and Chloe would visit anytime they had a chance and invited her mom and dad to do the same. After having a good laugh and enjoying a much needed drink we all headed our separate ways to spend the night with our mates and start a new day tomorrow full of love and family just how it's supposed to be. Hopefully
