When he finally released her from his embrace, she turned to walk inside, putting a thick jacket on so they can return to the camp fire. Jackson went to the garage and found flashlights for the girls .

After being held in the cold embrace of a vampire ,and excepting to go on a date with one. She took a deep breath going over everything in her head , facts about vampire behavior and their brain chemistry , that she had learned in medical school. They can become very attached to the point of obsession, and this can happen very quickly, they are very protective of their mate and they have a very high sex drive.

After studying vampire behavior in medical school, she knows all the facts and is quite sure, Jackson will only want to go out with her a couple of times.Unless she's his mate he will see she's not someone who will just jump into bed with him. Brushing off the slight fear of having another man stalking her, she puts her jacket on and meets Jackson out on the deck.

They walk down to the lake just in time to see Lexi and Alex gathering up all the things they had brought. Curious to know what was going on Karmen ask." Are you going back inside already?"

Alex immediately answered"It's been a long day, I think it's time for my Queen to get some rest."

Jackson had a big smirk on his handsome face. He was sure Alex didn't plan to let Lexi rest .But it sounds like a good excuse to him, going with the flow ,he said "Yeah, I brought flashlights for the girls so they won't fall on the tree roots . I will help you pack everything."

After they had gathered everything up, Alex and Jackson carried it all to the lake house, while the girls carefully maneuvered over the tree roots. Jackson and Alex put everything away while the girls changed in to some comfortable Pajamas.

Jackson wanted to spend more time getting to know the short little baby doll in the light blue short pajama set, thinking of something immediately that might interest her,he ask "Karmen would you like to play a game of pool with me or maybe watch a movie."

"If you make me another tequila sunrise, I think ether would be fun."

Alex had other plans, before his little Pet ran off to the basement to play pool. He took her hand and went upstairs to their bedroom .

Karmen and Jackson went down to the basement to play a game of pool. "Babe tell me what you like to do so I will know where to take you on our date." He said , with a big smile happy that he could charm he into accepting a date with him.

She become thoughtful for a moment Thinking about the things she would like see and do before she had to leave for school .She was hoping he didn't just plan to take her on a dinner date. Dinner dates are so boring and now that he has offered she might as well learn something about the city or vampire culture. Placing her finger on the side of cheek, she hummed," Well I like concerts, museums, art galleries , I like the theater, I like karaoke bars , comedy clubs , Mystery dinner theater, I like to dance.I just like a lot of different things ." She shrugged

"I should be able to find some of those things in the city. I know we have a museum on the history of the Evanston ,and a art gallery. There are several clubs around ,we could go dancing. Hell Babe ,we will find something to do. " He grinned walking

behind the bar to make them a drink.

She walked to the pool table and raked the balls and selected her pool cue , while chalking her cue. she ask ," are we playing eight ball "

"Yeah babe, what ever you want to play. He said, busing himself make drinks. "Go ahead and break."

She lifted the rack off positioning herself at the end of the table lining up her shot , sinking Three balls on the break , "I call solids." she shouted over towards him "three ball right corner pocket" he heard her call out "Six ball middle left pocket, seven ball right corner pocket." A minute later he heard her calling out the rest of the solid colored balls on the table. "five ball left corner pocket, eight ball, center right pocket."

Raising her head she smiled sweetly "Do you want to play another game?

Knowing pool is a game of mathematics and physics, he wasn't surprised that she never missed a shot, with a look in his eyes she couldn't recognize , he stepped over to where she was standing giving her a peck on her cheek. He grinned ," no babe , I should have known. "

"Yeah, I was President of the math club." She informed him shrugging her tiny little shoulders .

Taking a seat on the edge of the pool table he took the pool cue from her and laid it in the center of the table . He wrapped his hands around her tiny waist, pulling her closer to him leaning in a little closer so that their lips almost touched.

The sudden closeness made her heart flutter and beat slightly erratically. To distract herself from his full sexy lips. She brought her hand up to his chest playing with the collar of his shirt .

" babe do you want a kiss." He whispered in seductively.

She blinked confused ,her first thought she didn't hear him right, was he asking permission or did he want her to ask him to kiss her. "what?"

However his reply was a little bit of a shock to her."Don't be shy babe, tell me what you want." Seeing the confused look on her sweet little face, he smiled wickedly "I can hear your heart beat , it's not a heart that's beating in fear. That's a heart beating from lust and attraction. It's music to my ears hearing that sweet little sound."

Shaking her head in disbelief she tried to push away from his embrace. But he held onto her and didn't let her get away . He slightly chuckled pulling her head down onto his chest. He wrapped his long arms around her and tangling his fingers through her hair as he kissed the top of her head.

Her face turned red as she buried it into his chest. She mumbled "that's not fair "

"He pulled away bringing his hands up to the side of her face making her look at him. " I don't want you to be so shy with me . Why be shy when I can hear your heart beat. You affect me the same way too."

"But I can't hear your heart beating, you cheater." She grumbled. He takes her hand placing it on his heart he kissed her passionately.
