Mole

"Your Majesty he didn't say anything about anyone else. As far as I know it was just him. He is the only one who I ever talked to"

Alex looked over at Jackson ,who now was setting back on the sofa .Jackson nodded, shrugging his shoulders ,signaling that he couldn't detect any deception in what she just told him .Alex ask a few more questions before he made a decision.

" Beth are you the person who poisoned the man in the dungeon?"

She didn't try to lie or cover up what she had done. She set with her hands folded in her lap ,telling him everything.

"Yes your Majesty, I just wanted to get him out of my life."

"Where did you get poison strong enough to kill a vampire that quickly."

"I got it from a lady down in the bad part of the city, she claims she is a witch ,she reads tarot cards for a living. She told me the poison would work on vampires."

He jotted this little bit of information down on his note pad. This was new to him , he had never heard about a witch down town.

"Tell me how you poisoned him."

"when commander Richard sent for the blood. I filled a syringe full of the poison and pushed it into the cork."

He leaned back in his chair, thinking hard on what he was going to do with this girl . He really didn't blame her for wanting to kill the man who had killed her father, and was threatening her children. He knows a woman will do anything to protect her children. He leaned forward telling her "Beth I want to make you a deal. I'm putting you under house arrest ,until Commander Richard can check out everything that you told me. You can start by handing over your cell phone. It will be throughly inspected, and if everything checks out this is my offer."

She nodded her head ,handing her phone to him .She set patiently ,waiting for him to complete his offer.

"I'm going to find you a job in city, I will make sure you get the same pay and benefits. And in return ,I would like you to contact me immediately if anyone bothers you ,or talks with you about that man who was in the dungeon . Or, if anyone approaches you ,in any way asking about me or Princess Alexis.

Are you willing to take that deal?"

With out hesitating, she hurriedly accept the offer he laid out in front of her.

"Yes, yes your Majesty, thank you so much."

With his voice coming out in a authoritative tone, making sure she understood all the terms and conditions. He explained everything again.

"Beth , you will be under house arrest, until commander Richard checks out everything you have told me. He will post two men at your house, you will be wearing an ankle bracelet. After everything checks out ,you will be free .I will make sure you have your new job by Monday morning."

This could work out perfectly, he already has a job in mind for her .In a donut shop down town ,his old buddies owns it . It's right next door to the Starlight Bar and grill . He had been wanting to put a mole down town anyway. It seems there is some fishy stuff going on down there.

To make sure she knows her children will not be without food or Medical attention he tells her

"If you or your children need anything while you are under house arrest ,tell one of the guards. Now Beth ,if you have told me any lies ,I will put you in my dungeon .Is everything clear?"

"Yes, Your Majesty, I promise, everything I told you is the truth."

While Alex is explaining his terms and conditions to this woman, Jackson lazily set on the sofa, listening to her heart beat. Knowing if her story checks out ,she may have lost her job at the castle, but Alex will make sure she can still take care of her children. He has a soft spot for children.

"Beth ,I'm going to be sending one of Commander Richard's men to check on you everyday for a while. He will be coming undercover, in plane clothes not his uniform. If anyone ask you who he is , you can tell them he is your cousin or something. But if you have any problems with someone like that man, tell him and he will report it to me."

"Yes, your Majesty."

Turning his attention towards Rich he spots out his commands

"Rich put a bracelet on her ankle and take her home. Make sure to post two men there one in the front and one in the back."

Rich stepped forward taking hold of her arm leading out of the office. Alex leaned back in his chair lighting up a cigarette, blowing the smoke into the air. Jackson looked at the clock on the wall , turning his head towards his brother , telling him

"Alex let's go get the girls. I know where I want to propose."

Smashing out his cigarette he rises to his feet. Both men leave the office stepping into the elevator. Alex leans against the handrail pushing the button to the second floor. Curious to know ,he ask

" Are we going to dinner or to the mall first?"

He didn't have plans to propose at ether place . He had someplace else in mind ,he shortly replied.

"Were going to fly first."

Alex shot back , "How far are we going?"

He lifted his brows with a smirk on his face

Just to keep Alex wondering, his answer was quick with little explanation,"Not very far, it's just easier to get there if we fly. You will need to bring a jacket."

As they walked down the long hallway towards Lexi's room,

"Alex glance over , his eyes scanning his brother in a suspicious manner, asking him

"Are you not even going to tell me where we are going to eat."

"I have arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport in the city . We will go to the mall and pick up my phone . Then ,We will be going to The Landing . They serve more human food ,than any other restaurant in the city. They also have the best dance floor. "

As they stepped inside the bedroom, Lexi was still unmercifully teasing her shy friend.

"karmen, You can really make him happy if you give him a lap dance."

Jackson hastily spoke up." Sounds like a good idea to me." Turning in Alex's direction

asking " when you start remodeling your bedroom ,will you be installing that stripper pole, you talked about."

"Hell if I can get a striptease, I'll put a stripper pole up tomorrow."

Lexi, stammered, "Oh, I'm not the only one who can pole dance. And you should see her twerk with that little round ass."

"L...Lexi," Kamen stuttered, with her face turning red.

Alex hurriedly cut them off, " Girls grab your coats, we need to leave."

In a panicked voice Karmen spouts " my coat is in my bedroom."

" Don't panic babe, Alex met us at the service elevator."

Lexi stepped inside her closet shouting back at Alex, " Do you need a coat too?"

"Sweetheart, just get that black all weather jacket for me. And grab you a dance dress.

She instantly grabbed a black off the shoulder flowing dance dress, matching it with the heels she already had on for a quick change. Alex's black all weather jacket and a long black dress coat for herself. Grabbing a garment bag on her way out of the closet. Alex set comfortably on the bed check his messages on his phone.

She threw the clothes in her hand on the end of the bed at his feet, huffing "Damm are we all ready married, I could use a little help."

"He looked up from his phone, realizing what she was talking about ,promptly apologizing, " yes we are sweetheart, but I didn't realize you needed help, I'm sorry.

While putting the dance dress in the garment bag, in hasten manner, she mummers " Text Karmen and tell her to bring a dance dress too.

Alex quickly sent the message

[King Alexander ] Bring a dance dress with you.

[ karmen] Thank you

Karmen and Jackson walked into her bedroom, she kicked her heels of changing into a pair of dark blue ones .She grabbed a dark blue dance dress and a long dark blue cashmere dress coat.
