Alex cursed under his breath, he thought for sure he was going to see Jackson beg like a little whipped puppy. Maybe Lexi was right they are the prefect match for each other, so much for the hope of having Jackson eat his own words.

The car came to a stop pulling Alex out of his thoughts, he peered out the window. The driver had pulled the car up in front of a building with a wooden sign in front of it .

The sign had sea shells and the name of the restaurant painted on it. The driver came around and opened the door, and as always Alex stepped out first checking for any dangers or suspicious charters larking about. He looked around the area and it seemed to be the perfect place.

Mixed couples walked in and out of the restaurant, holding hands with each other, with out a care in the world. They even had small half blood children with them, that were allowed to jump around and run ahead of their parents acting like normal children do. This was very odd maybe even peculiar, he had never seen a place this laidback. Normally haft blood children are made to walk by their parents side, never allowed to walk in front of them. The risk was just to great. Their tiny little creatures with no way to protect their self .They are targets for hate groups, unscrupulous people who will do anything to stop the growing numbers of half bloods in this country.

Feeling comfortable with the area, Alex put his hand out for Lexi to take. They stepped back waiting for Jackson and Karmen, who were now touching and kissing each other like two over heated teenagers at the drive in pitcher-show.

Alex cleared his throat to get their attention . Jackson slides across the seat dragging Karmen with him in a harsh manner, just to hear her grumble and complain

" stop your wrinkling my dress."

Alex rubbed the skin between his brows , with the tips of his fingers , he couldn't understand these two, one minute their passionate lovers and the next their bickering and arguing like two old people in the grocery store.

The restaurant had a sign by the door advertising the best surf and turf in town, that is a huge attraction for mixed couples. The vampires can enjoy their steaks and their human mates can enjoy the delicious seafood. The two couples stepped towards the door, the door man's eyes widened. He bowed deeply " Welcome to The Sand bar and grill Your Majesty " he stuttered out as he opened the door for them.

The owner of the Restaurant came rushing out, he bowed greeting his special guest.

" Good Evening Your Majesty, please come this way."

He showed them to the best table in the house. The owner snapped his fingers and two waitresses came forward. One was a young mixed blood lady in her twenties,the other was an older vampire lady . The owner bowed his head and spoke to Alex " your Majesty I must get back to the Kitchen, but I will leave you in good hands." he pointed to the older lady , "your Majesty this is my wife Karen , she will be one of your waitresses tonight." he pointed to the half blood younger lady saying " and this is my daughter Penny, she will be your other waitresses. If you need anything just let them know." He bowed deeply and quickly returned to the kitchen. The older lady stepped forward speaking to Jackson while the younger lady spoke to Alex.

The two women took their order and promptly returned with their drinks.

When the two women left Alex asked Jackson

"Did you already know about this place?"

" No Alex, I just looked on my phone for five star restaurants with great reviews, this one and two others popped up."

" I think after dinner we should do a little sight seeing."

" where are we going? "Lexi ask with excitement in her voice.

"Just around town" Alex hummed "maybe to a couple stores, would you like that? "he ask just to see her face light up.

"Really, we get to go inside?" She hurriedly ask, before he changed his mind.

"I will ask the waitress, if there's a safe place for people like us."

She tugged her brows together, asking him

"People like us?" She sounded confused.

Alex explained " yes darling, mixed couples."

" But what if that offends her? Or she ... uh you know, don't like people like us."

" Darling, she is people like us. Her husband,the man we just talked to is a human. That lady is a vampire."

"Oh, that's awesome, maybe she will know where I can buy a new swimsuit.

You know I only have that one ,I got from you." She explained to Lexi

Just to hear Jackson complain, " your not getting one of those that your boobs and ass hang out .I want to see you in it first ,before you buy it."

Hearing Jackson even mention Karmen buying something sexy made Lexi laugh , ,

" when did you ever see Karmen wear anything sexy, I'm surprised that she lets you see her necked ." She blurted out between her bouts of laughter.

"Shush!, do you two have no shame, people can hear you." Karmen mumbled holding her hands over her redden face.
