Library

Lexi and Ethan set at a long table in the Castle's library chatting as Jackson and Karmen scanned the seemingly endless shelves of books that once was his grandmother's personal collection.

She kept them in her bedroom for her personal enjoyment. All of them first edition /first printing works from famous authors, from all over the world.

Beautiful hand made protective leather covered books adorned the whole back wall of the huge library . Jackson inherited them along with her priceless collection of art work. Alex inherited her elaborate and extravagant jewelry collection . All personal precious gifts to their grandmother from their grandfather.

Karmen pulled one of the books off the middle shelf immediately her hand started to shake and tingle slightly.

He creased brows looking down at her hand, asking her "Babe, are you ok , Why is your hand twitching like that?" She stammered a little trying to explain what she was feeling to him. " Uh ... I don't know why but my hand will shake slightly and tingle when I touch something rare and priceless."

He had looked at all his grandmother's books when he inherited them after her death,he knew exactly what was beneath the red leather cover.

He tilted his head slightly watching her carefully holding the book in her hand. He listened to her heart beat, it beat steadily with no indication of fear or nervousness.

Stepping back a bit he ask her " Babe, are you telling me you know what is underneath that cover with out even opening it."

She nodded her head wordlessly, her hand trembling slightly. He narrowed his eyes sounding skeptical, testing this strange ability she possesses.

" Really, Don't open it and tell me what is inside that book."

She closed her eyes ,lightly rubbing her hand over the leather cover in a upwards motion. Opening her eyes, looking up at him ,she told him what she felt was underneath the beautiful red leather cover.

"It's original hand written poems not printed copies written by famous poets like Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, John Keats, lord Byron, Percy Shelley and that's just the ones I can feel right now, but I believe there are more in here."

Taking the book from her hand he slowly opened it to reveal the original poems from the famous poets she had named. He gently flipped the aged pieces of paper over. The poems of the poets she had named where in the exact order she had said.

He gently closed the protective leather cover and put it back on the shelf. A silent wow came from his lips, he looked at her curiously

"Damm Babe that's amazing. How the hell did you do that. Are you psychic or something?" He ask her with a look of astonishment.

"No I can't see anyone's futures or past, nothing like that."She teasingly said "I can't see dead people like that little boy in the movies or anything."

"How did you read what was inside that book with out opening it."

Her words caught in her throat as she tried to answer his question

" Uh. ..I don't really know, if I was actually reading. It's just a feeling I get. And then suddenly I just know everything about the object I touched."

Spinning her around by the shoulders to get her full attention. He looked her in the eyes questioning her for more clues they might be able to use today.

"Think about it hard Babe ,is there anything else you can do. Maybe something that's just a little different than everyone else."

Shaking her head vigorously, she answered his question the best way she could, even telling him about a similar incident.

"No, no all I can do is tell if something is real or fake. And I need to touch what ever it is or be really close to it. Like the painting behind your desk .I really wanted to touch it , because I couldn't believe the vibe I was feeling.

"And what kind of vibe was that" he curiously ask , narrowing his eyes down on her waiting patiently for her answer

"It was just when I first walked in It felt like there was something rare and valuable in there. And that valuable thing was behind your desk. But I really couldn't believe someone would have a real Van Gogh painting in their office."

"Babe what you were filling was right ,that is a real Van Gogh painting in my office."

Grabbing her hand he pulled her towards the books at the end of the shelf beside the window , "Let's find that I was telling you about, your theory about that DNA test may be right."he spouted ,as he ran his fingers across the spine of the books on the large shelf.

After a few minutes he paused pulling out a thick black book that looked like it had at least two thousand pages in it handing it over to her.

The title of the book was written in golden gothic printed letters on the front. She gawked at the thick book , not knowing how to even start searching for what she was looking for. "But...But what would I look for?" She finally stammered out.

" Babe just look for creatures with fangs. we know you have fangs. He stated rubbing the spot on his chest where she bit him the first night he drank her blood . We will narrow it down from there." He added ,as they walked back to the front of the library where Ethan and Lexi set at the long table catching up with each other.

He pulled a chair out for her at the end of the table turned and walked over to a writing desk that was setting against the wall, he took out an ink pen and small note pad. Stalking back to where she was setting he slid the note pad towards her giving her instructions on what he wanted her to do.

" Babe, I'm going to go over Ethan's financial statement with him. I want you to flip through that old book ,write down every creature you come across with fangs and write down what page number you found it on. I will send Lexi down here to help you."
