Bets

Ethan's eyes widened, the excitement he was feeling coming out in his voice " I'm really going to be a uncle?" For a brief moment an image of a little boy playing sports with the whole family watching flashed in his head a big smile curled on his lips and his heart filled with pride at the thought of becoming a Uncle.

Karmen instantly dashed his hopes, taking all the wind out of his sails " No, no, not yet, But we are planning to have a baby. Lexi and Alex are to."

He sighed heavily as the smile on his face became a look of disappointment. And the image in his head faded, he shrugged his shoulders Immediately brushing off the disappointed feeling.

He became gossipy like a little old lady in a Sunday school meeting reporting what everyone else was doing. "There's bets going on in the club for everything from picking what sex Lexi's baby will be . To picking the day she will give birth to her baby."

Lexi glared in his direction with her hand on her hip grumbling " I guess you bet on my future baby too."

Never passing up an opportunity to tease his sisters, he spouted out " Well of course, what kind of a brother would I be if I didn't." Taunting her like they were children again, just to see her get riled up and complain a little more .

His skillful tactics didn't work on his older sister , she didn't get riled or thrown a tantrum.

She just threw it back his way "yeah that's what I would do if someone was betting on your babies birthday. No need to skip an opportunity to make a little extra cash."

How ever his younger sister took the bate. She slipped deep into his trap , setting herself up to be teased unmercifully.

"Gosh Ethan you shouldn't bet on Lexi's baby, that's just plane rude."

Just the opportunity he was looking for, If her winning this morning makes her think she is safe from his teasing and touting ,she has another thing coming .

He was thinking to himself how to really get her going, irritated and enraged maybe even throw a tantrum. He grew up listening to both of them winning and complaining and for the most part he was the cause of it. A devilish smile curled on his lips. He watched as her brows pulled together and her face turned red , she was about to explode into a tantrum, a real hiss fit. Then he seized the moment with no holding back. " Oh, you should have told me that, before I put a bet on the sex of your baby last night down at the club." He calmly said snickering under his breath .

" What? You mean people are betting on my future baby to." She shouted out flustered and annoyed with the thought of people placing bets on the sex and birth date of a child, and in a bar of all places.

Lexi rolled her eyes, not believing, Karmen was falling for Ethan's needling and razzing to get her fired up and irritated.

"Karmen when are you going to learn not to fall for his jokes," Lexi babbled "can't you see it in his eyes. He's messing with you ."

Pointing her finger at Ethan, she scolded him like she was his mother . "Stop picking oh her, she's a sissy you're going to make her cry ."

Her actions reminding him of their childhood causing him to chuckle and tease his sister in mocking voice " oh cry baby, bubba's sorry," rubbing her hand like a little puppy he pleated playfully with her.

"Please forgive me. "

Making Jackson chuckle amused by the three of them, Lexi and Ethan's actions reminded him of his self .He coax her on how to handle her brother " Babe make him beg harder, no wonder you can put up with my shit .Looks like Ethan and Lexi have been doing this for awhile now. " he pulled her closer to him, putting a small kiss on her forehead. Watching her anger fade away and a beautiful dimpled smile take it's place.

" we might not have ever cut her any slack, but we always have her back." Lexi proudly stated loud enough for everyone in the castle to hear.

Ethan pinch her dimpled cheek, and without hesitating he told her the truth.

" squirt, I was just picking on you, nobody has a bet about your future baby down at the club. However I did get excited thinking about becoming a Uncle that's something I can't wait to happen. Have you even told mom and dad about you and Jackson yet?"

"I'm sure mom and dad have seen it on the internet, and dad knows I transferred to the school here in Evanston." She calmly said, now that his confession smoothed her little ruffled feathers.

Remembering they mated, Ethan knotted his brows together, mumbling

"Are you planning a human wedding?"

"I told her to tell me what kind of wedding she wants. We can get married today or when ever she wants to Jackson informed him.

"It's just I really don't want to get married before Lexi and Alex. Maybe just something simple after they get married."

"On your birthday day Baby , maybe at the beach or on that mountain top where I proposed to you. You know Babe ,Alex can officially marry us, it's legal for him to do so." Jackson suggested all these options hoping she would pick one, he was more than ready for her to become his lawful wedded wife.
