Back Early

When they arrived back at the stables, Alex opened the gate . They dismounted their horses leading them inside the fence and tied them to the hitching post.

A man in a red shirt came out, Alex walked over and talked with him, the man nodded and Alex walked back to where everyone else was waiting for him.

They walked back into the castle through the service entrance ,stopping at the Kitchen , Chef Rosa came over sounding slightly surprised " Your Majesty, I didn't expect you back so early. I have already started you a picnic basket, with some fresh blueberry muffins for her Majesty and Princess Karmen."

" We have plans in the city today but I'm sure the girls will be more then happy to eat the blueberry muffins in the dining room. I might as well let you know what we will be having for breakfast right now. Jackson and I will have the 12 ounce porterhouse . And the girls will have scrambled eggs and ham. We will be eating lunch in the city with Mother and won't be back here until around dinner time tonight."

" I'm just glad to see you taking a little time off." I hope you enjoy yourself in the city today." Chef Rosa said

" Thank you Chef Rosa, instead of cleaning through lunch why don't you walk down to the spa here in the castle and get a massage I'll text Shelly and tell her your coming by."

"Oh, your Majesty that sounds wonderful,I think I'll do just that. Thank you so much "

"You deserve a little break Chef Rosa .he patted her shoulder telling her "have a nice day, chef Rosa."

"You too Your Majesty."

When they stepped into the dining room Kathy was already there with a cart full of drinks for everyone.

She had already poured Alex and Jackson some blood in the beautiful silver goblets, she also had them some dark red wine in Crystal wine glasses. She had a verity of different drinks for the girls on her cart , including Karmen's protein shake. She wheeled her cart up beside Lexi and rambled off the choices she had brought from the kitchen for them " Her Majesty, what would you like this morning, I have some fresh squeezed orange juice, skim milk, fresh brewed coffee and a couple of strawberry smoothies."

Right away Lexi's eyes wondered towards the strawberry smoothie,with fresh whipped cream on top. Kathy smiled " that's what I thought , you and I share the same taste Her Majesty, something yummy and delicious over all that healthy crap anytime." Kathy said handing the smoothie over to Lexi. She also handed her a small glass of orange juice, and a small glass of skim milk. Saying " but we still need to keep his majesty happy."

Alex chuckled, saying " Kathy you always know how to please everyone."

Reminding her of the question she needed to ask him. " Your Majesty , the guest that are coming Monday. Her Majesty's parents and Princess Karmen's parents will they need anything special? "

"Kathy that's a good question?"

Alex peered over at the girls asking them.

"Will your parents need anything special to drink?"

After thinking a few minutes, Lexi babbled out a few things her parents like and a few things her grandmother and grandfather like, "my mom is a health nut she drinks decaf coffee, almond milk, watered down orange juice ,lemon water and dry red wine . My dad drinks what mom let's him drink ,which is the same thing she drinks. Except he is aloud to drink a few lite beers. My nana and paw paw drink prune juice black coffee and hard liquor. But nana calls it her nerve medicine."

Alex chuckled, thinking to himself nana and paw paw is going to be a barrel of fun.

Kathy took a small pad and a pen out of her pocket jotting down the drink choices for Lexi's parents. Then she rolled her Cart over to Karmen immediately handing her the protein shake, asking " Princess Karmen would you like something else."

Karmen also rattled off her other choice and her parents choices.

" Kathy I believe I will have some coffee this morning and my mom and dad drank the same things Lexi's mom and dad do except my dad likes martinis instead of lite beer. And my mom occasionally has some hot mint tea."

"Wonderful, I believe we have all those things in the castle already except for the prune juice for Her Majesty's grandparents and I will order that today."

After Kathy left Brenda and Allison brought their breakfast in on a small cart. They placed the plates around the table in front of everyone.

Jackson picked up a fork and started feeding Karmen , she moaned and pleaded with him " When my mom and dad come will you please not feed me."

" Are you going to gain five pounds before Monday?"

" Well no."

" I guess you already know the answer to your question." He smugly told her while pushing scrambled eggs in her mouth.

Lexi snickered, stating a fact " Uncle James is going to love Jackson, he's been threatening to feed Karmen himself."

"Sweetheart, I never thought to ask you but will your mom and dad be comfortable knowing we shared the same room." Alex ask as tactfully and respectful as he knew how.

" I've already told you Alex ,my mom and dad are pretty laid back. As long as I'm safe and happy they don't really care."

" What about your mom and dad babe, are they okay with us sharing a room. If there not you can always go to the room next to ours and walk through the closet after everyone goes to bed." Jackson suggested not wanting to cause any problems with his future in-laws.

"No, we don't need to do that. My mom and dad are laid back also, remember Ethan is my brother. And they lived in France together for a year before they got married."

After Lexi ate she and Alex went up stairs to take a shower and get ready for their visit to Dr. Burnheart's office . Alex walked to the closet and picked out a pair of black chinos and a black button up shirt. When he walked into the bathroom, Lexi crease her brows together a little surprised by his wardrobe choice. She didn't expect him to dress so casual to go with her to Dr. Burnheart's office and to have lunch with his mother. She didn't know how to ask but she didn't want his mother jumping his case for not dressing appropriate.

" Uh, Alex is your mother going to be upset, because your not wearing a suit."

"Sweetheart, I'm going to wear a tie and sports jacket. To Dr. Burnheart's office and to have lunch with Mother."He explained to her not mentioning the fact that suits aren't comfortable to fight in. And he really didn't know what to expect when he and Jackson go down town searching for the disappearing woman .Seeing Alex dressed casually she chose a well fitted black sheath dress and black heels.

Down in the dining room Karmen was begging and pleading with Jackson

" please, I can't eat anymore. Let's just go get ready."

Letting out a big sigh, he laid the fork on the table stood up and took her hand. When they stepped inside the bedroom . They both walked into the closet to get their clothes. She chose a sleeveless white and dark blue polka dot vintage style fitted a-line dress with an open collar pairing it with a pair of white high heel sandals. He reached for a pair of black chinos, but she stopped him " wear the navy blue pants and a white shirt."

" Babe, I can't wear a white shirt today, Alex and I are going down town to look for the disappearing woman, we could get into a slight altercation."

" just...just. NO... "she stammered

Turning towards her he grabbed both her arms. " Babe , just calm down, the disappearing woman my be a clue to what species you are. When we get back we will go to the library again and look through my grandmother's books for more information."

" you mean that crazy lady might know what species I am."

"Yeah Babe, but I'm not really sure. Alex and I are going to try finding her."

" Please don't fight." She begged him laying her head on his chest."

" Babe, look at me, if the crazy lady don't start shit there won't be a fight."

But if she does Alex will damm sure oblige her, and who knows how many more people she might have with her."
