Queen Victoria takes her casserole out of the oven glancing around the room. "Jackson darling where is Karmen."

" She was drying her hair, I'll go check to see what's keeping her ." He said , placing his coffee cup down beside him ,he pushed himself away from the counter and walked back towards the bedroom.

He stepped inside to see her setting on the side of the bed, she faced the window, and she wasn't moving. He called out to her "Babe, breakfast is ready, come eat." She didn't turn to look at him and she didn't say anything she just kept staring straight in front of her.

Walking to the other side of the bed where she was setting, he looked down to see she was kinda spaced out and held the other pregnancy test in her hand. The one he had stuck in his bag yesterday.

He set down beside her , he putting one arm around her shoulder and reached his other one out for the white plastic stick in her hand, he rubbed her shoulder his loving gently voice drifted into her ears like a warm hug for her soul " let me see Babe "

Handing it over to him, she sighed and shrugged her shoulders " it's the same as yesterday." She said sounding sad and disappointed .

"Babe, if you set the timer, the faint pink line could mean the hCG leaves are just still to low. We can wait a week and you can take another one."

" I don't think I want to do that, taking that

first one just gave me a little hope. When I know genetics aren't on our side, especially now that I found out that I'm half demon. I'm sure it will take even longer for me to conceive."

" Babe, you don't know that" he mummers trying to comfort her "don't forget your half witch too, and from what I understand their just like humans." He said, as he stood up taking her hand, he placed his hand on her lower back guiding her towards the door.

They stepped into the great room taking a seat around the table.

And as usual with Lexi's parents there the conversation was quite jovial, Queen Victoria started telling another story " I do hope there's no pranksters up here" she said, shaking her head, "I remembered when Ethan was fourteen he was in front of our lake cabin fishing with Mr. and Mrs. Hopper " she reached over patting Jackson's hand, continuing her story. " Well darling you know how he is, he took his piranha from the aquarium and tied it to his fishing line, causing quite a ruckus,"she chuckled, " well anyway, by the time we got to the lodge that night the story had spread around the lake with each person adding their own dramatics until everyone was believing Ethan had been attacked by piranhas in the lake. Everyone in the lodge ran over to him worried about his little mean ass, checking him for injuries."

After Queen Victoria's amusing stories , Jackson was hoping Karmen's parents are as laid back and fun to be around as Lexi's. But he wasn't getting his hopes up , he had a suspicion her father maybe, just because he is the child hood friend of King Charles.

However being well acquainted with her grandfather on her mother's side who is all business and straight laced he doubted her mother would be anything like Queen Victoria who was raised in a nudist camp with two old hippies for parents.

He quickly brushed away the image of a young Queen Victoria looking as hot and sexy as Lexi walking around nude out of his head to join the conversation Alex and King Charles was having.

After breakfast the two young couples cleaned up. While Queen Victoria made a picnic basket to take with them out on the lake.

"Aunt Vicky, no need to pack a cooler with drinks, I have a fully stocked bar on my pontoon. Jackson said,

Queen Victoria chuckled, " Of course dear, I would expect no less ,Lexi told me you are friends with Ethan."

"Yeah we have had some good times together." Jackson grinned,

After everything was cleaned up Alex grabbed the picnic basket and they all strolled down to the lake, boarding the pontoon boat.

Jackson pulled Karmen into his lap teaching her how to steer the pontoon around the lake. She caught on quickly and after a trip around the lake they pulled into the middle to drop the anchor.

King Charles set down at the bar, And Alex fixed everyone a drink. Queen Victoria took her cover up off to catch a little sun making herself comfortable in a one of the lounge chairs that faced the slide area.

Lexi climbed up the slide however she wasn't the first one in the water. Jackson grabbed Karmen by one leg and her arm flinging her over the side.

She screamed bloody murder as she flew through the air, he pulled his shirt off diving into the water to torture her more. She viciously splashed water in his face laughing and yelling" get away from me" swiftly swimming to the ladder trying to pull herself up before he could catch her.

Lexi slid down the slide and grabbed her foot before she could make it all the way out of the water. Shouting over her shoulder to Jackson " I caught her, come get her." She giggled slashing water in Lexi's face,when Lexi let go of her leg to wipe the water from her eyes. Karmen scurried up the ladder to the slide. When she slid down Jackson caught her and threw her up into the air. Making her scream and yell again.

Alex chuckled shaking his head, he was sure if she wasn't so kind hearted she could drown both of them with a wave of her hand.

After they splashed and played around in the water for awhile the three off them climbed out of the water to eat. Queen Victoria had already unpacked the food and had it setting on the bar where Alex and King Charles was sitting.

Alex pick up his phone to check the time. Glancing over at Karmen.

" We only have about two hours before your parents arrive. After we eat lunch we need to head back to the Castle to greet them."

He informed her, wondering if she was going to tell her parents that she found out that she was half demon. Or was she just going to keep it a secret.
