{POV Ryuu.}
Tsuyu had brought me to the school's giant sized swimming area so we could speak privately. I knew what was on her mind as she was smiling the entire time, with a slight blush, and humming a beautiful melody.
I even closed my eyes and relaxed a little and enjoyed Tsuyus beautiful humming the entire time she led me to the spot. Honestly I didn't know we had a swimming area.
Then I noticed Tsuyu stopped humming.
"That was beautiful, Tsuyu. It made me feel relaxed and much calmer." I smiled with a relaxed look on my face.
"My mother used to hum this to help me sleep. And I did the same for my siblings also when I helped take care of them." Tsuyu said with a smile on her face as she turned around.
"I'm happy you found it relaxing, but it's the first time anyone said it was beautiful, since it's similar to croaking."
"That's their loss then. So what's on your mind Tsuyu?"
Tsuyu started to blush a little as she placed her finger to her chin. "Why does Mei call you my Emperor and why do you call her your Empress?"
"Because Mei is my Empress, Bae, and Breaker of Hands. I am hers as she is mine," I said with a smile. "I love her."
Tsuyu's expression didn't change, but the color of her face started to turn more red.
"You love her?" Tsuyu asked with a soft voice as I nodded my head. "And she loves you?"
"She does, yes."
"Could you-" Tsuyu started to lower her head slightly lowering her voice to where I couldn't hear the last part.
"Tsuyu…" I spoke her name softly before she looked back up with a firm look in her eyes with a slightly red face.
"Could you please go out with me, Ryuu. Ribbit"
"If it means I get to hear more of your beautiful humming, I'd love too, Tsuyu." I said with a smile as I reached out for her hand.
"Come on, since we have the rest of the day off I'll walk you home and tomorrow we'll go someplace nice for a date."
Tsuyu smiled brightly as her eyes turned to crescents and took my hand. "I would like that, Ryuu. Ribbit, but what about Mei? Won't she be upset?" Tsuyu said with concern in her voice and was about to speak up before I gently squeezed her hand.
"Trust me, she'll be ecstatic. If anything she'll tell you to have fun. Plus she's probably eagerly waiting to see us both pick her up."
[Two Days Later.]
It was raining today. It wasn't anything really heavy, just typical rain.
I was even holding a custom umbrella that Mei made. It was able to keep Mei, Tsuyu, and I dry from the rain quite easily. It was even warm underneath its protection.
But when we were all getting closer to the front gate, Ida came dashing in the rain in a full raincoat and boots.
"Well that's a little excessive isn't it." I said while still holding the completely custom heated umbrella.
Mei didn't say anything as she seemed to be looking around for anybody that might be interested in her super cute baby. While Tsuyu giggled softly.
I was a little confused but just shrugged my shoulders as we entered the academy.
"I got mad people shouting out my name on the way to school!" Mina said with a cheerful and excited manner as both Tsuyu and I entered the class.
Everybody was still hyped up about the sports festival as they continued to talk about how many people noticed them. Or called out their names when they went out, to even those who approached them for a photo or autograph.
I had no idea what they were talking about, but Tsuyu did. I thought they were annoying as they kept interrupting our date.
"Morning." Aizawa said in a deep and tired voice as he entered the class as everyone became silent.
"Aizawa-sensei, I'm happy you were able to remove your bandages!" Tsuyu said with a smile on her face as Aizawa stood behind the podium.
"Thank you Tsuyu, but the old lady got over dramatic with her treatment. But let's put that aside. Today's hero information period is a little special." Aizawa said as he picked the corner of his eye.
"It's time to formulate your codenames. Your hero names."
Aizawa said as the class got really quiet before two different thoughts were exclaimed.
"OH MY ALL MIGHT YES!! NOW THIS IS MAKING MY CHEST SWELL!!"
"HUH?!"
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little confused. Sure I gave out titles and such, but a hero name. Doesn't that normally come from you know the citizens or someone else, not the person themselves. Fuck.
Aizawa didn't even seem fazed as he continued on with the lesson. "This is related to the draft nominations by the pros I mentioned before. The nominations will truly start mattering only after you've gained experience. In other words the nominations you're getting this year are more akin to expressions of 'interest' in your future potential…"
Aizawa continued to explain before pointing to the board behind him as it started to change. "Normally these results are more balanced, but this year all the attention leaned towards a few in the class."
Bakugou and Shoto had the most as they were about tied. Fumikage was in third and Eijiro was placed fifth. Uraraka was even placed in eighth.
Everyone had a different reaction to seeing their names on the board as they started to talk among themselves.
I smiled when I noticed Tsuyu was looking in my direction as she looked surprised that my name was nowhere on the list. I gave her a thumbs up to indicate that I was ok as I already met my nominator.
"Based on this, regardless of whether or not you received any nominations I'll make sure you all get some so-called 'work-place experience.' Plus you've all been introduced to the world of the pros, unfortunately. But I think experiencing the activities of pros firsthand will prove more fruitful training than before." Aizawa said in a serious tone as he looked over the class
Some in the class even started to get more excited about their hero names, while some said things were starting to get fun.
Aizawa agreed but before he could go any further a loud and passionate voice interrupted.
As Midnight entered the class while strutting and running her hands through her long hair.
"The names you will become known by the world in many cases will stay that way after becoming pros!!"
Aizawa agreed as he nodded his head while explaining Midnight will be helping to make sure our hero names were appropriate, as he clearly couldn't. As he started to pour nameplates from the inside of his sleeping bag and asked Momo to pass them around.
"The way you future ends up will approach the image projected by the name you choose. It's all down to that old phase, 'names and nature often agree.' For example: All Might."
We were all given fifteen minutes to come up with our names.
"All right, it's almost time for those who're ready to present their names for the class!" Midnight said with a cheerful voice.
Aoyama immediately got up and proudly showed off his hero name. "I Can't Stop Twinkling."
Mina went next calling herself 'Alien Queen' but was shot down as she was asked to redo.
Then Tsuyu raised her hand and approached the podium. "I've known since elementary school what name I'd choose. Rainy Season Hero: Froppy."
Everyone was amazed by her hero name. I even noticed Tsuyu looked in my direction as I smiled and gave her two thumbs up, making her smile.
Eijiro went next and chose the name Red Riot out of respect for a hero he really admired.
Kyoka went next and chose her hero name as Earphone Jack.
Mezo chose Tentacle.
Hanta went with Cellophane.
Ojiro: Tail Man.
Rikido: Sugar Man.
Mina went again as she went with Pinky.
Denki came up with something super smart which was a little surprising. Chagezuma.
Toru: Invisible Girl. Classic.
Momo: Creatie. Very creative.
Shoto just went with his name as he didn't seem all too enthused about the whole hero name stuff. Can't blame him.
Fumikage: Tsukuyomi. Perfect, fits him like a glove.
Koji: Anima.
Then Bakugou went next and, Ancient help him. It was bad.
Midnight just continued to turn down everything and said to use his name until he comes up with an appropriate name.
Uraraka went next as she showed off her hero name with a blush on her face. Uravity.
"Well that went a lot smoother than I thought," Midnight said with a small smile on her face as she looked across the class. "All that's left is Ida, Midoriya, and Ryuu."
I was a little surprised when Ida had yet to choose his hero name. As it seemed like something he would've already had since he is from an elite or big family.
Is it because of what happened to his brother the day of the sports festival? Huh, guess I'll ask Nezu later then.
Then it seemed like Ida came up with something but instead put his name down.
Then hero boy Deku went up showing his hero name… seriously, you seriously chose Deku.
He even explained the reason behind his name as many were surprised that he chose that name, but when he fully explained why he chose the name it actually made sense.
Well I can't fault the kid. Good name, can't wait to break it.
Then I was the last one left as everyone turned to look at me with eyes of anticipation.
"My turn, ok." I said with a small sigh as I went to the front of the class and showed my 'hero' name.
"God of War: Emperor."
