Brought a Girl

"Guleno, what were you thinking when you challenged that sophomore again!?"

"We know that you're not thinking but this is ridiculous! Don't you even have the basic animal instincts that avoid danger!?"

A nerve popped out of Guleno's forehead. He swung his arm in anger.

"Don't treat me like I have the same intelligence as a rock!"

"No, I think they are treating you like a tree because at least, you know how to breath."

Keith suddenly entered the conversation.

"What the fuck did you just say, bastard!? You think you're my friend!?" Guleno tried to grabbed Keith's collar but the latter saw it coming and grabbed the former's charging hand.

"Hm?"

Guleno found that he couldn't budge his arm again. Last time, against the sophomore, he felt like his arm war stuck between two boulders. This time, he felt like a whole mountain was holding his arm.

"Damn it!"

Guleno shouted to which Keith released his hand. His bottom dropped onto the bed of the nurse's office.

"Am I getting weaker…?"

He asked himself in shock.

"That's not it, Guleno! It's the sophomore who's strange! Even if you're super weak, you're still fat and heavy, he couldn't have lifted you like that!"

"Fuck you, Tegg! I'm not fat, I'm muscled! Are you trying to motivate me or insult me!?"

"Can't it be both?"

"Well, fuck you too, Sam!"

Guleno and his friends repeated this pattern insults and refubukes while Keith and Natallie watched on the side.

"You really don't pull your words back, huh…" Natallie said.

In response, Keith scratched his head, not knowing what he did wrong. What he said was what logic lead him.

Furthermore, what were they doing over there anyway?

'I just followed Natallie but I don't understand why she came here.'

Right after that thought, Natallie pulled Keith away.

"I'm worried for nothing. That guy is very tough, he can still shout and have fun with his friends after what happened to him."

"They were having fun?" Keith doubted.

"In my eyes, at least. Also, half an hour have already passed. We only have an hour to eat…" Natallie held her belly, "I should've just went to a fast food resto." she then looked at Keith and asked, "Also, I thought you're going home for lunch?"

"Ah…"

Remembering that someone was waiting for him, Keith went back to school gate with Natallie and saw that his ride is still.

"Good noon… Keith." the man greeted him. He wore a suit that would seem like he's a butler of some rich family.

Natallie couldn't help but raise her eyebrow.

"I'm going to eat outside. Can I bring her along?"

The man in suit glanced at Natallie before nodding, "No problem."

"Keith, wait." Natallie grabbed Keith's uniform.

"Oh, right, I haven't you if you'd like to eat with me or not." he replied while thinking-

'My feet feel a little cold. So, this is what they call nervousness…'

Keith thought he got over himself and found it a mistake.

"No, no, I'd like to!" Natallie waved her hands, making Keith a little relieved, "I just want to know who he is."

"Him?"

Keith looked at the man who was there to fetch him. A bead of sweat dripped from his forehead when he realized he forgot the name of this man.

"He's…"

Sensing Keith's trouble, the man quickly went forward.

"My name's Danton, Keith's older cousin. I'm just here to pick him up."

'His name is Danton?'

"Oh, I see, I see! My name's Natallie. Thank you for having me!" Natallie politely bowed her head a little.

"No problem."

With that cleared, Keith and Natallie entered the car before Danton drove them off and dropped them onto the nearest fast food restaurant as suggested by Natallie.

"Enjoy your meal, I'll be waiting here." Danton said but this incited puzzlement from Natallie.

"Huh? You won't come with us, Danton?"

"No need, I've already eaten."

Danton smiled and shook his head.

Natallie glanced at Keith. Seeing that he's only waiting for her, it seemed that he's already expected this.

"A-alright. Then, we'll eat fast!"

"No need, please enjoy your meal."

Natallie nodded and went to Keith. After seeing them enter the restaurant, "Danton" immediately entered the car and dialed someone in his phone.

After some few rings, the line was picked up and an older man's voice came out of the phone.

[Yes?]

"Archbishop Lutze, Lord Kaestal has brought a girl! I repeat, he has brought a girl!"

There was only a sound clattering that responded from the other line. It sounds like the archbishop slipped and fall.

[A girl, you say!!?? Who is she!? Is she qualified for Lord Kaestal!? You know what to do, Bishop Krystal! Research her and her family! Luck will dawn upon them and the After Beyond will protect them!]

"Yes, Archbishop!"

[Also, why are you calling me?]

"Oh, Lord Kaestal wants to eat out with the girl."

[E-eat out? But the Lord have yet to learn how to order food yet! What are you thinking!? No matter how intelligent the Lord is, he was just "born" two months ago!]

"Archbishop Lutze, c-calm down, he has the girl with him!"

"Your cousin is very kind for him to wait on us like that." Natallie was still worried.

"Yeah… he is."

Keith could only go with the flow. He got too excited about the idea of going out to eat with a friend. He failed to consider how Natallie would think of "Danton"

'I should be patient. This mistake taught me that emotions can be double-edged too. If I can't control it, it will control me.'

He found out that gaining a friend is not so simple. Snapping back to reality, Keith found himself standing on line before the counter.

'I know this societal way of first come first serve. Even though I want to eat something, I have to pay money and the stand in line first. Now, all I need to do and look for the menu and tell them what I want to eat.'

Once they were in front of the counter, Keith was about to say his order when the staff behind the counter was the first to speak.

"Welcome to McBee, do you want to dine in or take out?"

"...?"

A bead of sweat dripped from Keith's forehead again as he was confronted with a difficult question.

'What? Dine in or take out…?'
