Dinner

Part 19.

There is one name that makes me interested in opening the homepage or profile. His social media use the initials "WP." It turned out that the homepage and profile photo were empty. Ahh, never mind, no need to find out, don't even know I thought.

Half an hour sitting on the balcony terrace, I heard Mother's voice calling my name. Loh, has the guest arrived?

"Zaaa, come down! We're going to have dinner together!"

"Yes, Mother," I said, straightening my hair and clothes again.

Out of curiosity, I went downstairs carefully. Arriving in the dining room, I did not see any guests. Only Mother and Sis Mona sitting there. While Papa and Brother Rey were nowhere to be seen.

"Mother... the guests have arrived, haven't they?" I asked looking around.

"See, sitting in the living room, with Papa and Brother Rey!" replied Sis Mona.

"Oohh, I think the guest forgot the promise," I said.

"It seems that the CEO is a real man, Za! He hasn't forgotten his promise," said Sis Mona.

"Hmm... a clearing sound startled the three of us. Behind us, stood the CEO and his younger brother who was the same age as me.

We stared at each other for a moment and were silent like statues. Mother's voice startled me from the first sight.

"Come on, have a seat, Wendy and her sister!" invite Mother who is trying to lighten the mood.

"Thank you, Mrs. Meysa," he answered politely.

"Come on, eat right away, don't be shy!" asked Papa while glancing at me.

My sister and I felt like we were under hypnosis. We stared at the CEO without blinking. Looking closely, this CEO has very well-groomed skin. It is pure white in color and smells of classy perfume.

"Zaa... don't daydream too much! Later the food will be cold," said Mother.

"Oh-uh, yes, Mother," I said surprised.

I immediately spooned the rice and side dishes onto the plate and ate in silence. Every now and then I glance at this handsome CEO in front of me. Her and her sister's faces were exactly like twins.

Papa opened the conversation by asking the CEO.

"Zaa, what's the plan you want Intern at Wendy's office?"

"Yes, this is what Za wanted to ask," I replied.

"Brother Wendy! Za is in his final semester of college, so Za has to do data research. Can you do an internship at Brother's office?"

"Oh, it's okay, as long as the procedure is complete. Submit a proposal to me first! After that, you will arrange what work you will do in the office," explained the CEO while continuing to look at my face.

I felt like cheering in my heart after hearing Brother Wendy's words. Good luck well on my side.

*******

This dinner was full of warmth. Papa, Brother Wendy and Brother Rey exchange experiences while working in the office. Meanwhile, Indra, the younger brother of this handsome CEO, is mostly silent while enjoying the dishes served at the dining table.

"What semester has Indra been in college for?" Mother asked.

"I'm still in the third grade of high school, Auntie," he said.

"Oh-no wonder it still looks small," joked

Sis Mona, who was immediately glared at by Papa.

"When you go to your parents' house, convey my greetings to them, okay?" Papa said to Brother Wendy.

"Ashiap, sir, uh-Om," said Wendy, a little confused about how to call Papa.

"When you're at home, just call Oom and Aunt, so they'll be closer," Papa asked.

"Okay, Oom," he said, nodding.

"Wendy... Indra! Come on, add more rice and side dishes, don't be shy!" said Mother.

"Yes, thank you, Auntie," he said.

"Sis Mona, how come you eat so little?" say hello. It seemed that he was sulking at not being spoken to by this special guest.

"Hm, already full! Most of the cup cake ate earlier," she said curtly.

Papa looked at Sis Mona, then asked. "Why are you sick, honey?"

"No, Pah! Mona is already full, because she mostly snacked," he explained once again.

"Oh-I see," said Papa, stroking Mona's hair.

"I'm happy to meet this family!"said Bro Wendy.

"We are also like you, happy to meet young people who are diligent and hardworking like you. Soon, Indra will be able to learn to be a businessman like his brother!" Mother said praising them.

"Aih, Auntie praised us too much," said Indra interrupting Mother's words.

"It's okay, the word is a prayer, hopefully really come true," advised Mother.

"Amin...," everyone in the dining room said those words.

"Oh-yes, Za! What major are you majoring in in college?" asked Bro Wendy.

"Za, majoring in graphic design, there is a computer too!" I explained.

"I see, usually study office science too?" asked Bro Wendy again.

"Yes, Bro! Twice a week!"

"Alright, just prepare a proposal from the campus! Then take it to my office!" he asked.

Hm, this CEO is very friendly. Usually if a man is this model, there must be a lot of girlfriends, so don't be happy just yet.

Meanwhile, Sis Mona remained silent and listened to all our conversations, while occasionally playing her cellphone. This afternoon, I was very enthusiastic about welcoming guests, it seems that my sister is starting to get excited.

*******

After dinner, we continued to sit back and relax on the terrace of the house, to be more intimate. Wendy and Indra seemed to be getting comfortable with our family.

Indra who used to be quiet, so joined in choking every time I spoke. This one abege child, starting to leak out. In conversations, I always invite Sis Mona to join in the conversation. The atmosphere immediately melted, it felt like a family gathering.

"Wendy, because your parents are far away, let's just say that we are your parents and they are your adopted siblings, okay?" Papa remembered.

"Alhamdulillah, thank you very much, Uncle and Aunt," answered Brother Wendy and Indra.

"How do you know that in the middle of our relationship, you two have a match, who knows, right!?" suddenly mother squeaked like that.

"Mom what the hell!" I scolded.

"Haa-haa, just like Siti Nurbaya!" said Brother Rey.

"Hmm, there's something wrong here!" mother quipped.

"You really want to match Zahra with Indra, don't you?" Brother Rey just said it, it made my face instantly irritated.

"No, Mother is just joking, really! So that our conversation is not too serious," she said.
