My cell phone rang just as I was leaving the convenience store. I pulled over, and sat on the available chair in front of the convenience store, then picked up the phone which turned out to be from Gilang.
Although it feels a bit strange, I'm glad to be treated this well by that man.
He often asked me where I was if I needed a ride if I wanted something to eat, and so on.
I know, it's possible that his kind treatment was due to the pity after the incident at Harapan High School which fortunately wasn't extended. Who would have thought that Gilang was the son of one of the most influential officials here? Let's say I got lucky!
"Where are you, Mel?" asked Gilang in a low voice.
"I'm in front of the convenience store."
"With your mom?"
"No, I'm alone!"
"I told you not to go alone, how stubborn are you? Which convenience store? Let me pick you up!"
I chuckled softly. Isn't he cute enough?
"I'll just send it via chat, okay?"
