Escape

Draco felt the pressure in the room disappear as he watched the giant man's body fall apart into several different pieces.

As smoke was rising from his diced up corpse the three robed men flicked their hilts and the blades of light disappeared.

If one looked closely at Old Bear's corpse, they would notice that there was actually no blood. This was because the blades of light that Draco had seen cut him down had burned his flesh instantaneously, leaving no time for the blood to escape.

The robed men's bodies flashed and in a split second were in front of Muhammed and Amira, where they kneeled and awaited orders.

"Ḥāmin, excellent work." said Muhammed, "Retrieve the light swords from the fallen and collect Old Bear's chain."

Muhammed didn't show it on his face, but inwardly he was annoyed, 'Damnit, Old Bear, you stubborn bastard. I lost three hāmin just to take you out. But, at least the gains make up for the losses.' He thought as he looked at Old Bear's chain.

The chain still hummed with power, and even after it had lost its wielder it continued to release a faint pressure into the room.

Muhammed nodded his head when he saw this, as this meant that the chain was at least a high-grade artifact.

'Father will surely reward me greatly for bringing this back, and it's not like I have a use for it.' he thought, his mood improving the more he thought about it.

Meanwhile, Draco was just now recovering from Old Bear's pressure, and he stood up shakily.

'It's not even been 24 hours since I left L.A. and I've already seen enough death for two lifetimes.' he thought groggily, looking around at the disabled and maimed guards and the dismembered white robed men.

Draco heard a voice, and when he looked over he saw Muhammed was looking at him, "So, what do we do with him?" he asked, to seemingly no one in particular.

"We have to take him with us." Amira said quietly, standing directly behind Muhammed.

"Take him with us? Are you mad? I was just wondering whether we should have the Ḥāmin put him down or not."

Amira looked at her brother in shock, before remembering that her brother had always been this callous. Amira realized that he really had no reason to spare Draco's life.

Amira was really concerned at this point, because she knew that even if they left Draco here he would surely be killed.

She was about to step forward to make a claim for his life, when suddenly Draco's voice could be heard off to the side.

"Wait! Don't tell me you're really about to kill off your c*ke dealer?" he asked.

"We're hard to come by, you know." he continued while shaking his head, looking completely unphased by what he had just seen.

Truthfully however, Draco was shaking on the inside.

He recalled the raw power that he had witnessed, that indomitable will, and the crushing pressure he experienced deep within his bones. It was not something that one could recover from quickly.

However, Draco wasn't the average man, and he wasn't a stranger to crazy sh*t at this point.

There was simply no way he was going to die here like some third-rate background character!

Just the events that he had experienced in the past 24 hours alone were a testament to that. Draco could adapt to anything, and that was one of the reasons why he was able to survive on the streets for so long.

Hearing Draco speak up, a thoughtful look appeared on Muhammed's face.

"Well, he isn't wrong." he mumbled to himself. 'If me and my guards hadn't used what he gave us before the fight, we might not have made it out with only a few casualties.' Muhammed thought to himself.

Hearing him, Amira added, "He's right brother. Let's bring him along, please."

Seeing his sister look up at him with big, puppy eyes, Muhammed sighed and shook his head, his sisters really were his weakness.

"The man's product really was good." he said after a moment, then turned to look at Draco.

"Do you have more? I went through what you gave me before the fight." he chuckled, "I feel that if I don't get more in my system, I might actually collapse."

Draco laughed when he heard that, and he flashed Muhammed his best salesman smile. He wasn't planning on selling anything, but he found out that it works best in situations like this.

"I do." he said, bringing out a few baggies from inside his pocket. He realized that this still might not be enough, so he continued, "Like I said earlier though, this isn't even most of my product. I left everything else in my room."

Muhammed frowned when heard this.

"We certainly don't have time for you to go back to your room. That old bastard's boss will be arriving any moment now." he said, slightly annoyed.

"Wait, the boss of that guy? How strong would someone like that be?" Draco asked, equal parts interested and equal parts terrified.

Muhammed chuckled darkly and shook his head, "Too strong. He's an even older bastard than Old Bear."

Suddenly, Muhammed raised his hand, and with a blur a white robed guard appeared behind him.

Looking closer at this guard, Draco noticed a few things.

'Wait, isn't this guard totally a woman?' he thought in amusement.

However, seeing how Amira seemed even stronger than her, he wasn't even surprised at this point.

He saw that the guard's bright, yellow eyes were looking at him with an inquiring but also detached gaze, and Draco shivered when he felt her sight run across him.

'She's pretty cute, though.' Draco thought.

Seeing her well defined face and light caramel skin through the opening in her hood, he wondered why all of these women looked like supermodels.

He also noticed that her right arm was coated in blood, and thinking back to the earlier skirmish, he realized that this was the guard that had ripped that one man's heart out!

'I've got to remember to stay on her good side." he thought, remembering the earlier sight.

"What's your room number?" he heard Muhammed ask him.

"It's 1200, the twelfth floor master suite." Draco replied, snapping out of it.

Muhammed looked over to the guard "Zahra, head to this man's room and retrieve his things. Make haste, we must be gone in a few minutes."

Zahra nodded her head and when Draco blinked she had already disappeared.

Looking over at Amira, who was looking at him with concern, Draco gave her a wink before looking around the room.

At first glance, the second floor was completely trashed. Chairs and tables were thrown everywhere and broken, not to mention the countless bodies that had littered the ground.

Draco figured that not many of the people on the ground were actually alive, but he still stepped gingerly around the bodies as he made his way towards a table that had not been destroyed.

On the table were what was easily thousands of dollars worth of money in hundred dollar bills and casino chips. Draco didn't hesitate before happily scooping up all of the money he could find, leaving only the chips behind.

Just like this, he continued on to several more tables, and even started whistling as he collected his free spoils.

'Look at all this money!' he chuckled inwardly, "This is basically free lunch at this point' he thought as he counted the cash he had collected.

It was easily over $5,000 in cash, and Draco struggled to fit it all into his pockets.

Looking at the happy drug dealer moving about the floor, Muhammed and the guards paid him no mind, it was as if it was beneath them to worry about the petty change that Draco was collecting.

However, just this alone had made Draco's entire week!

Suddenly, a white blur appeared in front of Draco, holding his backpack in one hand.

Smiling, Draco took the bag from her, "Why, thank you." he said to Zahra.

Zahra said nothing and instead returned to Muhammed's side, her face impassive.

Draco didn't mind her standoffishness, as he was currently on Cloud 9 after getting the biggest payday of his life.

Muhammed was looking down at his watch, and Draco could see that it was actually Digital and was flashing with some sort of information. Looking back up, Muhammed said, "Alright, be ready, our taxi is here."

A few moments later Draco heard a loud chopping sound, and realized after a second that what he was hearing was actually a helicopter.

Looking out of the window, Draco could see a white and gold Black Hawk helicopter.

It was hovering just outside the window, with it's back ramp facing towards them.

Draco realized quite belatedly that they were still on the third floor, and would have to jump to reach the helicopter.

As he thought this, Muhammed and the rest of the guards jumped through the window at a speed that he was now used to seeing, and landed in the back of the Black Hawk in an orderly fashion.

Draco glanced over at Amira and realized that she was the only way he was going to be getting on that helicopter, but there was no chance in hell that he was going to ask her to pick him up and carry him.

Seemingly knowing what he was thinking, Amira only smirked before suddenly reaching over and picking Draco up in a princess carry.

'Damn, this is kind of humiliating.' he thought inwardly, but actually said, "Easy Amira, you know I'm fragile right?"

Amira shook her head with that same smirk on her lips as she leaped through the broken window and into the helicopter.

Draco felt the rush of cold wind beating across his face as he experienced for a short moment what it was like to be a superhuman.

"Incredible." he mumbled, unsure if Amira heard him or not as she gently put him down after they had landed.

Looking back at the Hitton Hotel, and the casino floor that they were now leaving behind, Draco had mixed emotions as he watched the helicopter doors close.

Who would have thought that his decision to check in at this hotel would have such monumental consequences?

However, as the doors were almost closed, red lights began to flare within the helicopter, and emergency sirens could be heard.

"Emergency evasive maneuvers initiated." A robotic voice chimed from the cockpit of the helicopter, and the Black Hawk started to violently shift as Draco was sent flying towards the roof of the helicopter's bay.
