Demetri held his blood-red spear as he stood facing the massive Ape in front of him.
The Ḥāmin was currently being held in the Ape's hand, and it was clear that the Ape intended to smash the Ḥāmin back down into the ground.
The man was dazed and would be unable to pull off his earlier trick to stop another impact. He merely watched with his eyes glazed over and prepared for his inevitable demise.
However, right before the ape was about to swing the man again, Demetri acted!
Demetri threw out his bloody spear, causing it to leave behind a trail of red blood that stayed connected to his injured arm.
It gave the spear the appearance that it had drastically increased in length, until it was over ten feet long!
'This must be another one of those Body Arts! Who would've thought Demetri had one too, but maybe that's why he was so confident against the last guy.' Draco thought, amazed at the variety of these 'body arts'.
Demetri's now elongated spear brutally pierced into the Ape's shoulder, causing it to howl in pain and rage.
The tip of the spear spread out once it had stabbed into the Ape, and Demetri's blood seeped into the Ape as it spread through the wound. This blood then hardened again, causing it to become thoroughly lodged in the Ape's shoulder.
Seeing the desired result, Demetri nodded to himself before pulling back on his spear.
This caused the spear to rip and tear through the Ape's shoulder, making the Ape's howls reach an ear-piercing level that made Draco dizzy.
The spear then violently ripped out of the Ape's shoulder with a loud tearing noise, the pain from the attack so great it caused the Ape to drop the Ḥāmin that it was holding altogether.
As Demetri's spear returned to it's normal length, The Ḥāmin soldier rolled away from the Ape's range and jumped back to his feet shakily.
The Ḥāmin became airborne again using his golden platforms, but as he circled the Ape once again it was evident that his speed had decreased.
While all of this was happening, Draco was merely watching the events unfold with cautious eyes.
Draco knew that he had no ability or weapon to use against the Ape, and if he was careless the Ape could easily grab ahold of him.
He knew he wouldn't be able to survive a slam from the creature like the Ḥāmin could.
While Draco was thinking this, Demetri and the Ḥāmin launched another attack against the Ape simultaneously.
The Ḥāmin distracted the Ape with a sharp heel kick to its head, and Demetri took the chance to launch another spear shot.
This time Demetri aimed for the Ape's vitals, and he was relieved to see his spear fly straight into the Ape's abdomen. Once the spear pierced through the Ape's flesh he let the spearhead expand within its organs.
Demetri hardened his blood within the Ape and prepared to pull his spear out once again, but the Ape did something unexpected!
As Demetri was beginning to pull, the Ape seemed to catch on to Demetri's plan and began to pull as well!
The difference in strength between the two was night and day, and in less than a second Demetri was dragged off of his feet and pulled straight towards the Ape.
The creature seemed to be in high spirits now, and it hooted and hollered with a feral grin as Demetri came flying straight towards it.
The Ape met Demetri's flying form with a large fist, and with a loud crunch his torso impacted against the fist and he was sent flying into the distance.
Draco turned with shock and watched Demetri smash against a large tree trunk, folding like a piece of paper.
Draco shook his head grimly as he saw that Demetri wasn't getting up.
'I just hope he's not dead, there's nothing we can do for him now.' Draco thought, looking at the Ape's massive form with newfound fear in his eyes.
The Ape had a gaping wound in its right shoulder, and still lodged in its lower abdomen was Demetri's blood red spear.
The spear had broken off at the end, leaving a limp handle that dripped blood onto the ground below.
Draco knew he had to act before the Ape overwhelmed them, and as he watched the Ḥāmin drawing away the Ape's attention, he saw his opportunity.
Draco sprinted towards the Ape using every ounce of his power, for he knew that his window of opportunity was short.
In just a few seconds he had arrived in front of the Ape, but the Ape seemed to have noticed him and roared as he put Draco in his sights.
The Ḥāmin used this lapse in attention to land a strike on the Ape's injured shoulder, causing it to howl in pain as it backed away, swinging wildly at the air in attempt to grab the Ḥāmin once again.
Draco saw this chance for what it was, and he reached out at the bloody handle and took hold of it.
The end of the bloody spear was limp and slimy to the touch, and it made Draco cringe to hold it. However, it was still somewhat solid, and Draco was able to get a firm grip on it.
Holding the bloody handle, Draco grabbed it and pulled with all of his might.
This action thoroughly enraged the Ape, and he disregarded the Ḥāmin to focus his whole attention back on Draco.
Unfortunately for the Ape though, Draco had already finished pulling the spear out at this point!
The spear exited the Ape's abdomen, and as it left it carried a chunk of flesh and what was presumably organs with it.
The Ape's blood red eyes had somehow turned ever redder, and with a deafening howl of pain the Ape punched out at Draco.
Draco was too close to the Ape to be able to avoid the sudden attack, and he was roughly backhanded against his face and sent flying to the side.
Draco did several cartwheels midair before landing on the forest floor, and as he slid across the ground he left a deep gorge in the dirt.
He slid for several more feet before being stopped by the base of a tree, where he laid for an unknown amount of time with every bone in his body screaming out in misery.
Draco's face felt like it had been hit with a double-decker bus, and when he lifted his head he was able to catch a blurry glimpse of the Ḥāmin being brutally slammed out of the air again.
This time there was no golden flash of light to stop his impact, and Draco saw the man turn into a bloody smear on the ground as the Ape began to repeatedly smash him into the dirt.
Draco couldn't feel his face, but he could still feel his arms and legs. He used them to slowly stand up as he braced himself against the tree he was next to.
He knew the Ape was going to come finish him off, but he wanted to die standing on his feet.
Seeing the Ape discard the bloody corpse of the Ḥāmin, Draco knew that his turn had come.
Draco looked over his shoulder and saw that Demetri still wasn't moving. However, he was relieved to see that Demetri was still breathing, for his chest was rising and lowering, albeit very weakly.
He faced the ape with a surprising mental clarity and lack of fear.
While he slowly limped over towards the Ape he knew that his demise was inevitable, but maybe he could do something to gravely wound the Ape.
Looking at the organs that were halfway spilling out of the Ape's abdomen, he knew the creature was already badly injured.
Draco was a few dozen feet away from the Ape at this point, but once Draco had stood up the creature's attention was already on him.
Seeing that Draco was the last enemy standing, the Ape hooted as it slammed its fits against its chest.
The Ape likely wanted to toy with its prey this time, and sensing its intentions Draco shuddered as he wondered if it was still too late to tuck his tail and run.
The Ape was having none of it though, and he began to rush towards Draco's position!
'I guess this is it, huh?' Draco thought, seeing his demise rushing at him in the form of a 2-ton pile of muscles and bloodlust.
However, just when Draco was about to surrender to his fate, a noise sounded off in his ears.
