ISIS

Draco was now back in the armored bus with the rest of his troops, and Snow was sitting next to Addo in the driver's seat.

Prince Rayad's voice sounded off from the radio in Draco's pocket.

"Draco, is everything all right? I heard a gunshot go off over there."

Draco looked at Snow with annoyance and sighed, "Everything is good. One of my men just had an accidental discharge. No one is hurt." he replied over the radio.

"Okay, just try to keep your men in order. We have a long journey ahead of us." said the prince.

Draco didn't reply, and instead gave Snow a look that said, 'Please behave.'

Prince Rayad's forces were now leaving the palace courtyard, and the vehicles flowed out of the courtyard like a wave of metal.

After many long minutes, it was Draco's turn to exit the courtyard, and his armored bus followed behind the prince's own vehicle.

The huge convoy of vehicles filled the entire road for well over a mile, and Prince Rayad had evidently already had the roads cleared in preparation for his journey.

Police cruisers sat at all of the major intersections of the city, blocking the roads off so that the convoy could travel without interruption. If they hadn't done this, they likely would've been stuck in traffic for days.

Even with the blockades, the journey out of Benghazi still took over an hour.

Once the convoy exited the city's walls, they traveled the main roads for another hour.

These roads eventually converged onto a large concrete highway. This highway had four lanes, two going each way, but Prince Rayad's forces traveled on all of them.

The cars that came down the road from the other side were all forced off of the highway, they had to wait until the convoy passed before they could resume driving.

The initial journey across the highway was uneventful, but that was to be expected.

When you see a hundred military vehicles driving down the road, you get out of the way and don't ask questions.

The highway was only ten or so miles away from the coast, and Draco had a beautiful seaside view the whole time they were driving.

After another two hours had passed, a small city came into view.

The city had many oil refineries and factories along its outskirts, and they pumped out plumes of black smoke into the sky.

The vehicles came to a stop in front of this city, and Draco saw a large sign above the highway that read, "Exit 12 - Ras Lanuf - 2 miles"

The prince's convoy had evidently stopped to refuel their vehicles, and hundreds of soldiers filed out of their vehicles and established a defense perimeter around the convoy.

Draco took this chance to refuel the armored bus as well, for they were also running low on gas.

His soldiers promptly got out of the bus to refuel the vehicle and stretch their legs.

Meanwhile, Draco looked at the horn Formica had given him.

'Man, I really hope this thing works. If it doesn't I'm screwed.' Draco thought to himself.

lol

Snow suddenly spoke next to him, "I always see you playing with that, what is that thing?" she asked

Draco smiled at her, "It's just a gift I was given. It's very important." he explained, technically not lying.

Snow looked at him suspiciously, but didn't say anything.

Soon, the convoy had been refueled, and everyone loaded back into the vehicles.

They resumed the journey, and the convoy continued at a steady pace for another two hours.

The convoy contained many heavy vehicles, and they guzzled fuel in the most inefficient manner possible.

!- sa pm

This meant that after only two hours they had to refuel yet again.

The convoy pulled to a stop in front of another city. Judging by the signs on the highway, this city was called 'Surt'.

However, it was more apt to call this place a town. It looked like it was a large fishing village.

There were scores of fishing boats in the town's harbor, but more interestingly, the town looked almost destroyed.

Draco could see even from the highway that half of this town was in ruins. His enhanced eyes allowed him to see the impoverished civilians walking about, and they looked absolutely miserable.

Although Draco didn't know this, Surt was a victim of ISIS attacks. ISIS was an organization of powered terrorists, and they pillage anywhere not defended by a strong military presence.

They attacked the city years ago, and to this day it still hasn't recovered.

Draco's troops got out of the vehicle when they saw the convoy stopping, and they were already refueling it on their own.

Draco was watching the town through the bus' windows, but the sound of a large explosion abruptly drew his attention.

Draco ran to the front of the bus and saw that the front of the convoy had been attacked!

Several of the armored vehicles had been lit aflame, and Prince Rayad's forces ran about as they tried to get to defensive positions.

"Get back on the bus!" Draco yelled out the doorway.

His men retreated back into the bus just in time to avoid a hail of bullets that started coming from the sides of the highway.

Looking out of the window, he spotted dozens of black figures standing next to the highway.

They wielded machine guns, and their bullets impacted against the bus' armored plates as his men took cover inside.

Explosions went off as the attackers fired RPGs towards the convoy, and the rockets blew up several unsuspecting vehicles.

Prince Rayad's voice sounded out over the radio as he ordered his forces in Arabic. Draco only caught the words, "attack", and "defend." from what the prince was saying.

Addo was quick to react, and he rushed to the window with his own heavy machine gun.

He began to spray towards these figures under the protection of the bus' armor, and the rest of Draco's troops followed his lead.

A dozen of Draco's men held their machine guns out of the vehicle's windows as they unloaded their clips at the attackers on both sides of the bus.

Draco looked ahead to see Prince Rayad's own vehicle begin to fire at the attackers as well.

The two heavy weapons on either side of his armored vehicle seemed to be automatically operated from within the car.

They swiveled to both directions as they sent high caliber rounds flying towards the attacking force.

Draco watched as the attackers began to drop like flies, they evidently didn't expect this part of the convoy to be so well defended.

The attackers were unable to breach the bus' defenses, so Draco's men indiscriminately slaughtered them.

Some of the attackers rushed at the convoy while wearing suicide vests, but they were shot down before they could even get close.

Explosions went off and body parts were sent flying as they died, unable to get within range.

There were only around ten of the attackers left standing after only a minute of the battle starting.

Draco was glad this attack was thwarted so easily, but his eyes suddenly caught a lone figure creeping up behind the bus.

This figure seemed to be holding a rocket launcher of sorts, and none of his men had spotted them!

Draco rushed up to a crate and picked up a machine gun, and then dashed towards the back door of the bus.

He opened the door and began to unload his weapon towards the lone figure, but the man had already raised his RPG.

Several bullets pierced the man's skin, but he had already fired his rocket towards the convoy!

The man collapsed from his wounds as his rocket flew towards the back of Draco's bus.

Draco reacted fast and closed the back door, just in time for a massive blast to rock the entire vehicle.

His men shouted as some of them were knocked down. Luckily, Draco's quick thinking meant that they had avoided a direct hit.

The men regained their balance, and Draco looked out of the back window to see a large crater in the road a few feet away from the bus.

His troops were already back on their feet and firing back at the attackers, and in only half a minute no one was left standing.

Prince Rayad's voice came in over the radio, "Draco, are you alright? The enemy has been dispatched." he said.

Draco grabbed his radio and replied, "We are fine. No casualties over here."

"Good to hear, I've only lost a few of my men." reported the prince.

The prince continued, "It looked like ISIS forces, I didn't expect my scum brother to ally with terrorists. They likely thought a suicide attack was going to work. If you weren't here, chances are it would have." replied the prince.

"Don't worry about it. Let's just get to the capital so we can end this." said Draco.

The prince then began to issue out orders in Arabic, and in only a few minutes the convoy finished refueling and moved back out.

They had been driving for nearly six hours already, so Draco figured that the capital of Tripoli was now only around three hours away.

The convoy continued for two more hours before stopping to refuel for the last time.

This time, there were no surprises. Most of his men still stayed inside though, not willing to take the risk of another surprise attack.

After the convoy refueled, they moved back out. The capital city was only an hour away now, and Draco could spot the massive city in the distance even from there.

Of course, it would've been too easy if they could just stroll into Tripoli without any resistance.

After the convoy traveled for another half an hour, a huge roadblock could be seen blocking the other side of the highway.

There were dozens of armored vehicles, and another dozen tanks in front of them. This wasn't even mentioning the several missile batteries in the back of the blockade.

As soon as the convoy entered range, the missile batteries fired.

Draco watched with wide eyes as hundreds of missiles flew into the air, leaving red trails behind them.

They were coming straight towards the convoy!
