The soldiers stared at Draco in bewilderment as he blew on the horn.
The horn was so loud that its sound traveled across the entire city, and it was heard even within the royal palace itself.
Tripoli's citizens looked out of their windows in curiosity, and Prince Rayad's brother was confused as he sat on his throne within the palace.
"What was that?!" the boy prince shouted, looking at his advisor behind him.
The old man shook his head, "I don't know your excellence, but it is no matter. My reports indicate that Prince Rayad's forces have yet to breach the city's walls, and we still outnumber them greatly."
The boy smiled, "Then we have won this battle, I will have my brother's head." he said.
While the boy prince was reveling in premature victory, storm clouds were now brewing above the palace.
Draco looked upwards and saw that thunder was striking down onto the towering palace ahead of him.
The enemy soldiers were looking around in confusion, but they eventually turned their attention back to Draco.
The squad of powered men had reached Draco's position, and they pointed swords and spears at his form.
"Yastaslim!" shouted one of the men.
Draco understood that this meant, 'surrender.' However, he was intending on doing no such thing.
He was wondering when Formica would make his appearance, for he would soon be surrounded by the soldiers.
Just when Draco was starting to think Formica wasn't going to show up, a massive blue light began to shine above his position.
This light was behind the dark clouds, but when they drifted away they revealed a shimmering blue portal that was floating in the sky.
This portal was simply ominous, and every person in the city looked up with wide eyes as they saw it.
The soldiers surrounding the palace were also shocked to see it, and they were all terrified to see a black figure begin to creep out from within the portal's depths.
This figure revealed itself to be a monstrous head, and its four blue eyes peered down onto the people below with an insatiable hunger.
Formica clicked its mandibles together and screeched as the rest of its body slowly revealed itself.
This screech was so powerful it knocked all of the people within ten miles senseless.
Over a thousand unpowered soldiers dropped their weapons, falling to the ground as they were left bleeding from their eardrums.
The rest of the soldiers who were powered merely stared upwards numbly, not believing their eyes.
Formica's monumental form creeped through the portal, and his body surrounded by black chitin floated down from the sky as blue energy surrounded it.
Draco was speechless when he saw this, for Formica was essentially flying!
The ancient progenitor floated down, and soon he was level with the palace. However, his body was so huge that it seemed almost as large as the palace itself.
The last time Draco had seen Formica he was only around 60 meters tall (200 feet), but now he estimated that the being had grown to over 200 meters (650 feet).
Formica touched down just outside of the palace's walls, crushing an entire row of buildings below his feet as if they were sand castles.
The progenitor's four eyes focused on Draco's form, piercing into his soul.
**You have done well, little ant.** Formica said directly into Draco's mind.
Draco pushed the pain in his head away and bowed at the waist.
'I am happy to serve, Lord Formica.' he replied mentally.
**I was unaware such a large human settlement had appeared during my short slumber. I shall enjoy this feast.**
After Formica said this, he turned towards the royal palace.
The powered soldiers below Formica who were still awake stared upwards in terror as they saw the progenitor's eyes focus on them.
The strongest of the soldiers shouted out a rallying call as they resisted against the progenitor's pressure, and they grouped together outside of the palace's walls.
Nearly a hundred of these powered soldiers banded together, but they were obviously quivering under Formca's might.
Formica saw these soldiers and decided to ignore them for later, he intended on saving the best of his meal for last.
He looked behind these powered soldiers and saw that there were well over a thousand unconscious soldiers within the palace's courtyard, all ripe for the taking.
The massive progenitor opened up his mandibles and blue energy began to spread from his mouth.
This energy approached the courtyard in the form of a gas, and it surrounded all of the unconscious figures and seemingly wrapped itself around them.
Draco was shocked to see this blue energy lift up these figures and pull them together.
Soon, all thousand of these soldiers had been collected together into what appeared to be a cloud of bodies.
This thick mass of people was lifted higher into the air, and they floated upwards until they were right before Formica.
Sucking in a breath, these figures began to float towards Formica's open jaws.
Draco stared on as he watched the soldiers get sucked into Formica's mouth!
They were sucked into the progenitor's gullet in groups of a hundred, and after each batch was chewed up and swallowed, Formica moved on to the next one.
When the group of powered soldiers saw this they steeled their resolve and charged towards Formica.
They likely knew their efforts would be in vain, but they were willing to sacrifice themselves anyway.
Dozens of powered soldiers climbed up Formica's legs and attempted to reach his head, but before they could even reach his wide body the progenitor had already devoured all of the unconscious soldiers!
After Formica had finished his first entree, his eyes looked down to find nearly a hundred ants climbing up its legs.
Formica's mind reached into these ants and spoke to them.
**I love it when my food fights back, it makes the meal all the more enjoyable.**
When some of the soldiers heard this, their minds blanked from the shock and they fell off his body and down to the ground below.
The remaining soldiers withstood the pain and continued their climb, but their journey was cut short as two long arms reached down at them.
Formica two arms protruded from beneath his head, each with hands that looked eerily human.
Using these arms the progenitor grabbed two handfuls of powered soldiers and lifted them towards his mouth, throwing them inside.
Each handful held almost ten soldiers, and just like that a quarter of the men had been eaten.
Formica reached back down and grabbed another handful of men, smashing his hand through the palace in the process.
The roof of the palace collapsed as Formica's gigantic hand swept through it, sending rubble crashing down through its interior.
Within the palace, the boy prince was sitting in his throne room with a terrified expression on his face.
The advisor behind him was just as afraid, for they had both heard the ear-piercing screech from earlier.
The sounds of their army screaming in terror before being abruptly cut off sent shivers down their spines.
"W-what was that?" the boy asked, quivering.
The advisor didn't know what to say, but he reassured the prince.
"I-I'm not sure your Majesty, perhaps it was some illusion." he said, coming up with the first thing that crossed his mind.
The boy prince was about to call for his guards when a loud rumbling was suddenly heard above them.
The boy and his advisor looked up to see that the roof of the palace was caving in on them!
They began to scream as they saw the rubble falling down above their heads, but their screams were cut short as thousands of pounds of stone crashed onto them.
Outside of the palace, the remaining soldiers continued their climb up Formica's body until they stood upon his back.
They now stood between the progenitor's long bone spurs, and they stabbed down at his back with their weapons.
However, their blades were unable to pierce the progenitor's thick chitin armor.
The powered soldiers realized they needed to find a weak spot, and they made a mad dash towards Formica's neck.
Formica's arms were ridiculously long though, and they seemed to have no joints to speak of.
These arms reached towards his back and appeared above the soldiers, swatting down on them like you would a mosquito.
It was quite the horrifying sight, and after he crushed over a dozen soldiers he scraped them up and threw them into his mouth.
There were now less than
fifty soldiers left, and they hid next to Formica's bone spurs, losing the will to fight.
Seeing that these ants would provide him with no further entertainment, Formica decided to end things quickly.
He opened his jaw and released the blue energy he had previously used to devour over a thousand people.
This energy traveled upwards from his mouth and surrounded his wide back, covering it entirely.
As the blue energy coated the forms of the powered soldiers, it seemingly grabbed onto them.
The soldiers were unable to resist as this energy picked them up off the ground. They were helpless to stop themselves from floating towards Formica's head.
The men scrambled in the air as they tried to break free from the energy, but their meager efforts were only rewarded with the razor sharp teeth inside of Formica's mouth.
The massive progenitor closed his mouth, silencing the screams of every single one of them.
