CH. 40: Retirement's <Doom>
"So it's true General... You're leaving the ranks of the Empire, Tch..." Wave clicks his tongue in frustration with a disappointed face.
Esdeath raises an eyebrow, Kurome removes the lollipop from her mouth then speaks, "Is there anything we can do to keep you with us General?" She asks.
Esdeath gets more impatient as her sanity drops even more with the thought of the endless wars. Her blood becomes hotter and the devil blood inside her circulates smoothly in all her vains.
"I won't go back on my word. I'm done with the Empire and no one can do anything about it" Esdeath says as she prepares on leaving the throne room.
Wave clenches his fists even harder. His expression shifts into anger and unacceptance, he pulls his senses together and screams at Esdeath, "I cannot accept this! General get your senses back together!!"
Wave runs at Esdeath then slashes his sword at her, she quickly unsheathes her rapier and effortlessly blocks all his attacks.
"Your attacks are way too slow and predictable Wave, if you want to last a minute against Night Raid you'll have to be stronger than that" She pulls her rapier to the sky and gives him a strong swing on his blade making him fly backward.
"General. We won't get in the way of you and your decisions" Bols says, he continues with with a more serious tone, "But we cannot let you leave with all the Empire's information at your disposal."
"Who's gonna stop me?" Esdeath says coldly.
The Jaegers look at each other with a hesitating look, if they wanted to stop the General, they'd have to go all at once, "STOP HER EVERYONE! DON'T LET HER GET AWAY WITH THIS!!" Honest yells. The Jaegers grab their weapons and attack Esdeath, all at once in a coordinated attack.
"Makahadoma." Esdeath casts her trump card and everything around her freezes. Space-time around her froze completely with no one capable of moving.
Esdeath grabs her chest and flinches a little. This trump card takes a lot of energy in order to be used so it affected her negatively.
Esdeath pulls herself together, he raises her hand up and freezes all the Jaegers at once, with an additional compact freezing layer for Bols who had control over fire. Icicles rooted themselves from the ground and enveloped the Jaegers in their new jail of ice.

"Was— Was I not good enough for this... Minister?" The Emperor asks with a stressful expression.
The Minister calms down and the Emperor telling him it's nothing. He makes a fake cough then speaks.
"This has nothing to do with your prestigious leading Emperor. It will only be a matter of minutes before the news of Esdeath's retirement start spreading. If the doors are being left open by the Ice General then this is a free ticket for everyone else to question their loyalty for you Emperor."
Honest's expression darkens, "If we want to avoid this then we'll need to show the people of this capital the power of their Emperor, the secret weapon that was passed down from generation to another, for this exact moment. Rulling the populas with an iron fist and through fear..."

Esdeath just left the Castle and is now meeting up with Akira who was waiting for her at the entrance. She immediately recognizes her lover's figure from afar, they join back together and she gives him a kiss on the lips while hugging him. He also kisses her back while gently caressing her back.

Testarossa joins the three and so did Saeko and Carrera who came while holding her newly obtained weapon. Esdeath feels intimidated by these girls because every single one of them emits an extremely concentrated aura of evilness and hostility.
With the scariest one belonging to Ultima, Esdeath could perceive just by looking at Ultima's face the insanity and cruelty dripping from her smile. In the body of that gorgeous looking teenage girl, was a bloodthirsty monster that saw humans as toys and useless filth.
A cold sweat instinctively forms itself on Esdeath's cheek. She feel something pulling her clothes, "I now you were thinking of me just now, and yes, I'll gladly become your friend Es-chan~, my name's Ultima by the way!" Ultima says with a happy innocent grin.

"As for blondie here, that's a Carrera" Akira continues with the introduction but Carrera seems to not care about Esdeath's arrival.
They stay silent for a little second before moving on to Saeko, "I'm pretty sure you know the winner of your competition Esdeath, Saeko Busujima, a sword prodigy" Akira says.
Esdeath shakes Saeko's hand, "It's good seeing you again Esdeath" Saeko welcomes her.
"Oh please, the pleasure is all mine" Esdeath speaks.
Among all the people in this room, Saeko was the only one to have a perfectly pure aura, she did not have a single body count and her intentions were overly good but with a flaming determination and desire.
"You're welcome to our team Esdeath, we'll have so much fun together around the most chaotic and wholesome worlds" Akira says and Esdeath's eyes widen, she starts processing what Akira just said.
If she had heard it right, then what comes next is nothing like she just imagined.

After some explanation, Esdeath was introduced to everyone by Akira. Needless to say that Ultima and Esdeath bonded very quickly due to their common sadist behavior, their love for torturing people and spilling blood. Their introductions made them bond quickly and Akira was worried by the outcome.
However, what surprised him mostly was the affection Carrera had developed for her newly obtained weapon. She treasured it very much due to its extremely potent firepower. If used correctly, it could annihilate an entire solar system.

[[ Meanwhile — Minister POV ]]
Honest is waiting at the entry of the palace while sitting on the stairs. He was sitting there for more than thirty minutes there waiting for someone. He threw his stares everyone and saw multiple people entering his vision's perimeter.
"You can come out of your hideouts, I can see you very clearly thanks to my
Six cloaked individuals left their hiding spots, their movements were so smooth they could be easily distinguished as elite assassins, "Night Raid, at last we meet." Honest speaks once again.
The six individuals removes their cloaks and reveal their appearances, they were all Night Raid members, five of them including the newly-summoned Susanoo and Mine who recently lost her imperial arm, for the time being she was using a regular sniper rifle.
"Minister. To think you'd come to us on a golden plate." Najenda, the leader of Night Raid speaks with her guard up.
"So you're the one responsible for all the corruptness in this Empire..." Tastsumi says with clear hatred in his words.
"No matter what trump card you have left, without Esdeath you're nothing!" Lubbock says with a sweat in his face.
It seems that leaks of Esdeath retiring have already reached Night Raid. Needless to say that these were very good news that announced a promising future for the revolutionary army and rebels of the Empire.
Leone clenches her fists and gets angrier with the second, "You filthy bastard I'm gonna fucking kill the shit out of you!!" She shouts jumping at him with her sharp claws.
Honest just grins at her while waiting for her attack, "Come at me." He said with menace.
"YOU'RE MINE!!" Leone shouts as she strikes Honest. But surprisingly, she doesn't reach him. Leone seems to be blocked by some sort of magnetic shield that does not let her get closer to Honest.
Seeing this satisfactory outcome, Honest laughs out loud maniacally while Leone does her best to break the force field, "IT IS TOO LATE NOW! HAHAHAHA!!! I HAVE ALL NIGHT RAID UNITED IN ONE PLACE!!! YOU WILL ALL DIE HERE AT ONCE!!!" Honest screams as the ground starts shaking brutally.
Some Night Raiders lose balance and fall on the ground. It seems like the epicenter of the earthquake was right blow them !
"Leone!! Come back!!!" Akame shouts.
Leone obeys her instincts and flees from the Minister who seemed to be preparing a mischievous plan.
The floor blow them collapses and a ravine forms itself, the Night Raid members pull back and from the center of the earth emerges a colossal metallic hand that catches the Minister and takes him with the rest of the colossal machination.
The Emperor's palace starts collapsing and from its bottom comes out a huge mechanical armor that extends to the sky. Five hundred meters worth of a metallic destructive armor rises to the clouds.
The capital falls into confusion and fear because of the colossal mech that just appeared on the Emperor's castle. But then, a large buzzing sound pierces everyone's ears and a blinding red light covers the sky, the lazer beam shouts from the mech's mouth and destroys anything it comes across.
*BOOOOOOOOM*
Buildings either get incinerated or blown away from the sheer impact of the the Lazer beam. The survivors start screaming in despair, begging for help. But unlike these fleeing ants, a figure was watching this scene from far away while smiling.
Blonde hair, blue eyes and a demonic look ; It was none other than Carrera, holding her sniper rifle and looking at the huge mech which was going to be the punching bag of her weapon.
"You like breaking stuff as well bitch! How about you eat this instead!" Carrera points her sniper rifle at the giant mech.
She starts charging up the weapon, golden sparkles surround her gun and penetrate the canon. She looks closely into the torso of the mech then pulls the trigger, "GO TO HELL!!" Carrera shouts.
A wide sparkling and golden Lazer beam escapes the canon and travels at fast speed towards the colossal mech, the machine turns to see a shooting star in front of it, "What the—"
*BOOOOOOM*
The shot pierced the torso of the mech and melts away anything it came across. Followed by other spectral bullets shot by Carrera that blow up the left arm of
The mech starts to lose balance, the critical shot Carrera just inflicted had already dealt spectacular damage to her opponent, "Don't die on ne yet! I still wanna see it burst!" Carrera activates the Burst Mode and shoots multiple obstacles at an accelerated rythme.
It throws hundreds of bullets which all transperce the unbreakable armor effortlessly. The Emperor who was guiding
Normally his armor would be bulletproof, but Carrera's spectral bullets could pierce through anything, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU'RE RUINING EVERYTHING!!" He shouts.
The Emperor shoots a Lazer beam at Carrera, it closes the distance quickly while increasing in size the more it came closer to her. He expects a great explosion and a loud boom to occur in a second.
But that was not the case, Carrera just swayed her hand to the left causing the Lazer beam to deviate trajectory. Carrera laughs heavily, no matter what they try, she'll always be the most powerful.
The blonde devil then aims for his head. Target locked, she pulls the trigger, "My turn now, bitch"
And so, the huge golden beam comes out of the canon and blows up the entire mech. The metal evaporates literal and so does anything that stands below it.
The Night Raid members quickly escape the scene, Carrera's last shot was unrestrained, not only did it melt the entire mech, but it dug down the ground below it and incinerated everything below.
The earth started shaking once again and the melted iron made of the palace a volcano that'll always be remembered as Carrera's wrath.
Seeing the erupting volcano, Carrera hugs her weapon in joy and excitement, "I think I'll call you
