Chapter 6

The day of the party had finially arrived and to Chloe it felt like Christmas morning. She snuggled down further into the bed and gave Liam a lick to wake him up. He stirred and snuggled closer to Chloe, she licked him again causing him to slowly become conscious.

"Morning to you too." He murmured.

He slowly sat up and swung his legs off the side of the bed, with sleep still over his head he stumbled into the bathroom.

Chloe yawned and slowly padded downstairs, settling in the kitchen as she waited for Liam to come down and feed her.

Not 5 minutes later he followed her downstairs and walked over to where he keeps the dog food.

"Oh it's empty, sorry girl, will ham be ok?"

Chloe's tail started to wag. 'This day just keeps getting better' she thought to herself.

She relished the taste of the ham, but sadly all good things come to an end and she was left staring at an empty bowl. She looked up at Liam and gave him puppy dog eyes, begging him to give her some more.

"Oh come on. Don't give me that look. You had more than me! How are you still hungry?" He looked at her. "Nuh uh, not this time. Nope. You're cute face won't work."

Chloe hung her head and did her best show of being sad.

"Oh come on!" He got up and walked away muttering "I'm being manipulated by a dog."

For the rest of the day Liam sat down with Chloe and watched Spiderman. "Now this is a classic." He told her.

You would think he would be preparing for the party tonight, but no. This was definitely the first time he had hosted a party, without a doubt. The extent of his preparation was buying two 6 packs of beer. That's it. She didn't even know how because his fake ID sucked, she could attest to that.

Before she knew it the time for the party arrived and an alarm went off on Liam's phone.

"Uhhhh, ok girl come with me." He lead her to the bedroom. "Sorry girl I just can't have you out here tonight ok" He apologised before closing the bedroom door and locking it. Little did he know she was very much going out there tonight.

Making sure he was gone she ran to the window, she didn't have much time till people started arriving and the last thing she needed was to get caught. She shifted and opened the window, just as she had planned. She climbed out and jumped, her legs bracing for impact. Her bare feet hit the ground and she rolled, shifting as she did so. Fur was so much warmer.

With little time to spare she ran towards the shelter of the trees and found her hollowed out log, thankfully the clothes were still there.

Chloe stood at the forest's treeline watching as people filed into the house. When she was sure everyone had gone inside she walked out from the tree's protective shelter and heels in hand (there was no was she was walking in heels on grass) she approached the front door.

She slipped on her heels and with a deep breath she knocked on the door.
