Chapter 8

She ran, and ran and ran.

After her kiss with Liam, Chloe did the only thing she could think of. She ran. She ran away from her problems, her fear of what this would change and most of all her unreasonable attachment towards Liam.

Maybe if she ran away for long enough she would leave it all behind, but she knew she wouldn't. The only thing holding her back was Liam, a single teenage boy, who had no idea whatsoever of what he was doing to her. Messing up her plans, her life. She never would've thought that just one person could change her life so dramatically, but here she is.

She returned to the house as the moon met it's highest, the party was still raging, far from over as she made her way bellow Liam's window. She did a quick scan to check no one was around and with a quick run up she used all of her considerable werewolf strength and jumped to the second floor window. She slithered through the open window and closed it with her paw, there was no way she was shifting now, way too risky. Although a dog/wolf closing a window wasn't exactly inconspicuous.

She settled down on the bed and let sleep take it's hold on her.

As she awoke she noticed that at some point during the night she had moved to sleep on top of Liam. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but due to the effects of the previous night, Chloe felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation.

She slowly edged off of him, careful not to wake his sleeping body. She moved to the opposite side of the bed and tried her very hardest to calm her pounding heart. He didn't know it was her, she kept reminding herself, but she knew, an annoying voice reminded her. She knew.

The next few days continued on like this, Chloe would find certain situations awkward or uncomfortable, which previously never would've never bothered her. All the while Liam became extremely worried about Chloe's change in behaviour and was even considering sending her to get checked out.

Chloe began looking forward to the hours Liam was out at school more and more, craving the comfortable, peaceful silence that came with it. She began re-visiting her plans for escape. She wasn't sure why a simple kiss seemed to effect her so much, but it did, and she wasn't sure she could take it any longer.

Liam's POV:

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm so very late"

Liam rushed around the house grabbing everything he needed, before running to the end of his driveway. After a few minutes of waiting Liam checked the time on his phone, the bus should've arrived by now. That was when he noticed the date; it was a Saturday.

He just stood there, feeling like the dumbest person alive. With a deep sigh he turned around and headed back to the house.

As he approached he looked in the window, only to see his dog turn into a girl?!

He was rendered speechless, and seemed to have the inability to talk, move or really go anything.

The girl, that was now walking around his house grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her body, then proceeded to exit his line of vision.

He had absolutely no idea how to react. Questions swarmed him like flies to a light, but the main most important question was "Did my dog just turn into a teenage girl?!"

He stormed into his house, ready to demand answers. When he saw the mysterious girl he kissed at the party, standing in front of him, wearing nothing but a shocked look and one of his old t-shirts. He'd been wondering where that had gone.

Her mouth fell open and for a while she stood the mouth opening and closing like a goldfish. Why was she at a loss for words?! She was the one standing in his living room, walking around as if she owned the place.

"Why are you in my house?" Seemed like an easy enough one to start with.

"I uhhh, you wouldn't believe me."

"Try me, because I'm pretty sure I just saw my dog turn into, well, you."

Her face whitened "Oh sh*t"
