Survival test

Naruto wakes up when the alarm rings. But someone else turned it off for him. He opened his eyes and met with another pair of beautiful black eyes with red hair.

Naruto smiled and said, "good morning, Mito." Mito smiled and said, "it's my honour, to be able to become your body pillow, my king."

Naruto chuckled and sat up. He was feeling alone last night, so he summoned her and slept while hugging her. Though she didn't have body heat, he at least has someone to accompany him.

Naruto looks at her naked body and smirks as he says "you can help your king with the shower too."

Mito immediately sat up and became excited and said "really my king? Then let's go, I will wash you."

Naruto laughed and went towards the bathroom and Mito followed him inside.

Naruto lay in the tub and Mito sat on the toilet seat while spreading her leg. Naruto looked at her and thought 'was she like this when she was alive or it's because I like her doing this that she does this?'

Naruto can understand Mystique, as she was a succubus when she was alive, but Mito was a normal human. Agares or Pinky or any of his other female shadows doesn't do this.

Naruto's eyes widened when he heard this. 'Oh yeah, I almost forgot about this. Uzumaki is famous for its sensory abilities too. And Mito, royal blood, should have this skill.'

He forgot because his Haki is a lot better than this and he actually never tries to find out if he has this skill too. It's not like he needs it or anything.

Naruto looks at Mito and suddenly smiles. 'She really is good.' Naruto said, "Mito come here". Mito stood up and went towards him. She didn't ask and went inside the tub. She sits on his lap and waits for him.

This time Naruto became sure of it. She has a powerful skill. It's almost like she can read my mind. But what she is doing is basically observing my emotions.

Of course, Naruto can control his emotions. He has enough training in these six months and Ninjas are best when hiding emotions. But her skill is kind of like his Haki. You can act on the surface but you can't hide your inner emotions.

Naruto moves closer and kisses Mito. This is his first time kissing a shadow. And it's not a pleasant experience. But he did it anyway.

After that, he said, "always please your king." Mito smiled and nodded. She then got up and sat on the tub edge.

After a few more minutes he got out and got ready. He has survival training to attend.

Mito wiped off the water with a towel and took out some clothes for him. Naruto wears a black shirt and pants, ties his wooden sword to his waist and leaves the house.

Naruto goes to the training ground on time. He sees Hinata and Ino are already there. They come earlier than the designated time.

Naruto smiles and says good morning to both of them.

"Good morning, Naruto-kun"

"Good morning, Naruto"

Just a few seconds later, Kurenai also arrived on time. She looks at her three new students and smiles. She has high expectations from them.

Kurenai looked at all three and said "let's not waste time and start the training." She then turned around and said, "follow me."

She starts to run, not too fast as they are supposed to be Genin. Naruto smiled and nodded at his two teammates and followed her.

Ino asked, "sensei, what is our training?" Kurenai didn't look back and said "just follow, you will know soon."

Soon they come into a jungle when suddenly someone attacks them from behind. All four of them quickly dodge the attack.

Kurenai stops and frowns. She comes in front of the tree and shields them. She looked at the front and said "who is there?"

Hinata and Ino become serious and take a stand in a fight. But no one replied to them. Kurenai looked back and said, "we will continue the training later, now concentrate on the enemy at the front."

Suddenly another Few shurikens came flying toward everyone. They dodged in a hurry. Kure also attacks back with a few of her shuriken.

They stop and look at the front seriously. Suddenly four people come out from behind the trees and stand in front of them. Kurenai looked at them and said "Mist Ninjas? What are you doing here?"

Hearing mist Ninja Hinata and Ino becomes serious"

The opponent did reply instead said "attack"

One of them attacked Kurenai and she became busy with her opponent.

The other three come and attack Naruto, Hinata and Ino. The battle continued for a minute when Hinata stop fighting and said "release"

Suddenly all the attackers vanished and there was no sign of fighting in the woods. Ino became confused but then her eyes widened. Then it became ugly. She looks at Naruto who also looks back at her.

Kurenai jumped from the tree and said "that didn't take you long." Hinata blushed hearing her.

Kutenai looked at her amusingly and asked "how did you find out?" Hinata showed Kurenai her Byakugan.

Kurenai understands but is shocked that She could break her Genjutsu so easily. 'All these Dojutsu users are really good against Genjutsu.'

Hinata then said softly "also Naruto jin was just attacking casually."

Kurenai looks confused and looks at Naruto who smiles and then looks at Hinata.

Hinata became shy and said "I noticed Naruto-kun wasn't trying hard even though the enemy attacked. This made me doubt, so I used my eyes. And after trying hard I noticed that it was a Genjutsu."

Kurenai and Ino look at Naruto astonishingly. What does this imply 'he knew it was a Genjutsu from the beginning?'

Naruto smiled and said, "rule no 1, always gather information on your mission or opponent." He looked at Kurenai and said, "and a little bird told me, our sensei is master in Genjutsu."

Kurenai smiles and looks at Naruto admiringly. She is impressed. 'As expected of the Fourth Hokage's son.'

She then looks at Ino. Ino blushed as she didn't do anything good in this. She feels like she is the third wheel here.

Naruto said, "sensei she would have realized this soon too, she is a member of Yamanaka, maybe she didn't practice enough till now."

Ino looks at Naruto thankfully and now she feels guilty. 'I shouldn't have wasted time on fangirling.'

Kurenai nodded her head and said "okay, next is hand to hand combat. Strength is also important."

Kurenai stands and looks at all of her students and starts to tell them the result of the training.

"Ino, you need training in a lot of areas, but as a Genin it is passable. But it is not enough for a field mission yet."

Ino feels dejected and looks down. She also started to notice this in the last 2-to 3 months.

"Hinata, you are strong but you lack intent. When you are on the battlefield, your enemy is not gonna show mercy because you showed them."

Hinata looked down and nodded her head. She knows her teacher isn't wrong.

"Naruto, I can see why you are the chief of the students. You are good at everything, but you act like Nara, you act lazy."

Naruto didn't argue with that. This kind of fight can't excite him. If it's Madara or Hashirama or those Otsutsuki, then he would happily dance with them.

Naruto rub the back of his head and laugh awkwardly "hihihi"

Kurenai looks at all three seriously for a few seconds. This worries Hinata and Ino. But suddenly Kurenai smiled and said, "okay, I accepted you as my team."

Ino and Hinata look up and look at Kurenai, seeing that She isn't joking. All three smile.

Naruto, Kurenai, Hinata and Ino are sitting inside the Ichiraku ramen shop and eating ramen.

Kurenai decided to treat them as a celebration for their passing the test. And Naruto chose this place. 'Good for me, I can save some money.' Kurenai Thought without knowing the two Gluttony beside her.
