Chapter 8:

You woke up with a painful back. Mikey's engraved name on your back hurts like hell. You can't even lay down properly.

You turned on your side and you gasped almost waking up the man who's sleeping beside you. You smiled. This is the first time that you woke up with Mikey by your side.

You touched his face, adoring his cute sleeping face. He looks so innocent. Your gaze on him softened, "You look so adorable, like a baby." You whispered and chuckled to yourself.

"Really?" You flinched and was about to pull your hand from his face but he catched it and place it on his cheeks again.

"Morning, y/n." He greeted you.

Your stomach felt butterflies. You woke up with him beside you and he even greeted you. It's a really good morning!

Mikey kissed your palm and he looked into your eyes. "Where's my greeting?" He said like a kid.

"G-Good morning Mikey.." You said blushing because of his sudden actions. He seems to be in a good mood.

Mikey suddenly stood up and grabbed his phone. He dialed someone asking that someone to bring the both of you food.

After the call Mikey walked towards the bed again and sat beside you. Without saying anything he started cleaning the wounds on your back. You hissed because it's painful.

"You're such a good girl enduring this y/n" Mikey suddenly said shocking you.

"Y-Yeah... I just really like the idea of having your mark permanently." You said as you touched his bite mark on your neck that's slowly vanishing. But unlike this bite mark the wound on your back will leave a scar that indicated Mikey's name.

"Why are you so obsessed with me?" He suddenly asked.

"Because you're beautiful." You said not being specific. You intend not to be direct and he was about to ask you a question when someone suddenly entered the room.

Sanzu entered the room holding foods in his hands. You almost laughed because the view doesn't really suit him. You buried your face on the pillow and you felt his glare.

He left it without a word. You felt Mikey tapped your shoulder and you turned to him only to be faced with a toast. You unconsciously opened your mouth and Mikey fed it to you.

You smiled before eating the toast. Mikey also started to eat and your breakfast proceeded just like that. Mikey feeding you, there is also a comfortable silence between the both of you.

After eating Mikey helped you to sit on the bed and you will flinch time to time because of the wound on your back. When you succeded on sitting Mikey laid down on your lap and closed his eyes.

"I'm taking a nap." He said before closing his eyes. 'But he just woke up? Mikey's really like a child sometimes.' You thought and smiled before brushing his hair using your fingers.

Mikey's breathing became stable signaling that he's already asleep. You continud to stroke his hair and your hands travelled on his nape and caressed his tattoo.

"You know what Mikey? We're almost the same. Broken and has no one to rely on, in fact you're still lucky because there are people who follow you. Also, I don't have any freedom. I was abused, treated like a trash and caged. My family just treated me like a tool." You mumbled.

"Then when I saw you something inside me stirs. I felt a connection, saying that you're just like me. Someone who lost the reason to live. I wonder what made you like that. By challenging you like this gives a reason for the both of us to live. And I'll give you more reason to do so." You continued not knowing that Mikey's awake.

His breathing is just stable because he's preparing himself to sleep but you suddenly spoke so he listened. What you said shocked him.

The both of you stayed like that for almost two hours. Because of exhaustion you're the one who really fell asleep. Mikey fixed your position on the bed, being careful because of the wound on your back.

He kissed your forehead and exited the room with a dark expression on his face.

You woke up feeling that someone was applying something on your back. You're now lying on your back unlike the position that you slept on.

You glanced at the man who's applying an ointment on your back, you felt that it's not Mikey because the way he do it is different. It was the man who has a scar on his eyes. Kakucho Hitto. Eventhough you're awake he's not even paying attention and just applying the ointment without any expression on his face.

You blushed because you remembered that you're still naked and felt relieve that you felt the blanket on your lower body. You cleared your throat to get Kakucho's attention.

He glanced at you but didn't say any word. Awkward...

"Uhm... Do you know where's Mikey?" You asked while hesitating.

"Doing something important." He said like it really answered your question.

"Huh?... I see." You just said confused but you regained yourself and chatted with him.

"Uhm, kaku-chan? Can I call you kaku-chan?" You mumbled while looking at him.

His hands that is applying the ointment on your back stopped and he glanced at you as loneliness and sadness crossed his eyes.

You thought he would say no but he smiled a little, shocking you.

"That's fine, call me kaku-chan." He said with a hint of sadness but at the same time happiness in his voice.

You stared at him while he goes back on treating your back. "Did someone else called you that before?" You asked.

"Hmm." He hummed as an answer.

"Is that person your friend?" You asked again, curious why his eyes has a glint of sadness.

"Hmm." He hummed again.

"Where's that friend now?" You stubbornly asked again.

"He died while protecting me." He bitterly said and looked at you. "I thought you're timid but you're like a curious cat." He continued.

You chuckled. "Yes I am, but you still answered me kaku-chan. He's a good friend if he died like that, he must be a good person. I hope I was able to meet him." You said. You never had a friend because of your family.

"If he's alive you might be able to meet him." He said.

"Really? How?" You asked.

"He's boss' brother." Kaku-chan said shocking you.

"O-Oh..." You replied. So he already has a dead family? Is that why he's like this?

Kakucho stand up, "I'm done here, I also brought you clothes boss' order. I'll leave now." He said.

You held his wrist stopping him from leaving yet. "Hey, kaku-chan wanna be my friend?"

He turned to look at you and frowned, "I still wanna keep my bones intact."

"I'm l/n, y/n. Call me y/n-chan too so starting today you're my friend okay?" You said stubbornly and he just sighed.

"Fine. I give up. Then y/n-chan make sure to ask boss to keep my bones intact. I'll leave now." He said before going out making you chuckle.

He's comfortable to be with. He looks intimidating but he looks warm and a good person. Maybe that's why Mikey sent him to me. You thought while smiling.

You struggled standing up but still managed. You changed your clothes into something that kaku-chan brought. You almost frowned because all of the clothes he brought are sexy dresses. So you picked the most decent looking one and it is a black short dress that is up to the half of your thighs and it's backless while the front crawls up to your neck.

You smiled at your reflection and felt thankful to kaku-chan.

Mikey should have sent kaku-chan to you at first and not send you the flirty Haitani brothers. After you thought of that it's like the devils heard you and the Haitani brothers entered the room.

"Hi y/n!" Ran greeted.

"Hi." Followed by Rindou.

You frowned. What a way to ruin my mood.
