A Call From Mary's Secretary

Everyone in the living felt bad or guilty about their actions. Everyone had different opinion. But they had one thing common. That was - how could human heart became this poisonous? Actually, no one knew when was gonna change their heart. Even if brain indicate right direction, human's heart greed destroyed everything. This was similar case like Eva.

When everyone felt down and could think where to start, Paul's phone started to ring. Hearing Paul's phone ringtone, the silent atmosphere of living room broke. When Paul saw an unfamiliar number, he hesitated to answer the call first. When the call was about to hang up, Paul received the call. Before Paul received the call , Adrian signalled Paul to put the call on speaker. Paul did as his boss said. As soon as the call connected , a female voice heard from it.

"Hi. Is this Mr Paul Brook? The secretary head of Jones Corporation?" asked a female.

"Yes, I'm Paul Brook and the secretary head of Jones Corporation. Can you tell me who are you miss?" Paul said cautiously.

"Sorry , Mr Brook. I'm Alina Long and secretary of Mary Green. Is it convenient for you to talk?" Alina said politely.

Hearing Alina's introduction, everyone fell silent. They never thought Mary's secretary would call Paul. 'How could she get Paul's private number? What kind thing is she playing?' Adrian thought himself.

On the other side, older generation's thoughts were total different. They got a huge shock. Not because Mary had a secretary, because Mary's secretary called Paul. It was huge matter. Because every matter of Mary's were hidden until now. So, what was the reason her personal secretary called Paul at this time? Now it was almost 10:00 pm. It was late. Was everything alright in Mary's side? Older generation's thoughts ran wild every seconds. Because they knew Mary's situation very well.

After few seconds pause, Paul got his usual calmness. Because he did not know anything about Mary. Thus, he treated this call to know things about his boss's fiancée. This could help him in future. So, he politely continued.

" It is convenient for me to talk. It's already late Miss Long. Why are you calling this hour? Is everything alright?" Paul said politely.

" Well, Mr Brook. I faced difficult matter. Thus, I have to call you. My boss did not want to disturb your boss's time , so I called you for informing something. My boss hoped that your boss will handle this problem. Actually, he is the main culprit of this problem." said Alina with frustrating tone.

Hearing Alina's words & tone, elder generation became displeased to Adrian. They somehow guessed that Eva was the reason of this problem. And Adrian became main culprit by spoiling Eva. But younger generation except Adrian did not held any opinions. Because they would give their opinions after hearing everything.

On the other hand, Adrian did not think like them. They thought his fiancée now started her next plan by calling his secretary. But he forgot at this moment that Mary was innocent person and Eva manipulated him against Mary. How could Adrian's thoughts towards Mary would change so easily? Because it was human nature. If you hold any negative opinions against anyone, that thoughts never went easily. It would only take time by realising his/her thoughts properly.

Paul thought he might get a new evidence that would help him next investigation. He would unlock many puzzles which he could not solve in the past. Also he could gain more information about boss's fiancée which boss did not even know.

" Well, Miss Long. If you do not tell full matter clearly, I can not find fault in boss. Besides, it is perfect time for discussion. I already completed my work. I have to know the whole matter clearly, after all your boss will be my boss's fiancée." Paul said with understanding tone.

" Thanks for understanding, Mr Brook. Then I'll tell the matter. You can start recording button. Don't misunderstand me. Because you will not give your judgement about this matter, only your boss will. So, send your boss this audio recording and he will decide what will he do." Alina said with direct tone.

Hearing Alina's words again , everyone in the living room became stunned. They never thought Mary's secretary would do this direct manner. Only Adrian felt someone gave him a slap and his cheek was burning.

" It okay. I understand Miss Long. I'll start recording button. You can proceed." Paul said with serious tone.

" Today someone attacked my boss with potent knockout drug. At that time, my boss was alone. Somehow she managed herself from that person. But her body injured in this process. After capturing that person, we came to know that he was an assassin. And your boss's childhood sweetheart gave bounty in the international assassination forum.

We already got the news of bounty. We handled some assassins but because of your boss's special card, many high ranking assassins already took the job. Thus, we can not handle our own and my boss got injured. This matter will be end here if Miss Brown order bounty for killing. But she did more vicious thing.
