"But why would he do that?" Gino groaned and pressed his forehead against my metallic lab table.

"I have no idea," I shrugged as I continued to clean up the apparatus. Gino was currently having a complete meltdown about the King's sudden visit to the offices. It could have not been a worse timing since Gino clearly looked hungover. His blonde hair was a mess and the dark circles under his eyes screamed he did not get enough sleep.

"You should have seen how he looked at me. It was like he was amused but somehow knew what I was up to last night. I wanted to just jump out of my window," he groaned once again.

I wanted to burst out laughing, especially since Adonis knew exactly what went down last night. I also felt slightly bad that my relationship with the King would result in only more random visits to the office. The whole office was in a buzz and I was surprised at how panicked everyone was.
