79| She's Staring

Cloud

It had been two days since Iris had returned and tensions were high! Everyone seemed to be walking on egg shells and I was the worst out of them all. I finally understood how it felt for a zebra to be living in the same environment as a lion. Always ready to flee, scared that at any moment it may be their last.

I was the zebra and Iris was the lion.

"Cloud, she's not here," Adonis chuckled as I peeked out our bedroom door.

"I'm just being safe," I whispered. I dashed out the room to the kitchen where Adonis insisted we should have breakfast instead of our bedroom like how we had for the past two days. I knew he insisted Iris did not want to see him so she would not come around but I had doubt. Therefore I ran everywhere.
