"The King sends for you."
I nearly jumped ten feet in the air as I walked through the halls to my office. With an irritated glare I looked at the Royal messenger wondering were they all trained to creep up on people. "Very well, where is he?"
"The King is in his office," he bowed before walking away, not even the sound of his footsteps following him.
I had a strong suspicion they were ghosts especially by the way they seemed to float over the floor.
With a sigh I turned and headed to Adonis's office. I knocked and quickly heard him let me in.
He was half sitting on his desk dressed in his formal trousers, white button up shirt rolled up to his elbows and his tie loosely hanging off his neck. His shoulder length hair was tousled and a small stain of what looked like carrot was on his left pec.
