"A lot of time," Jordan answered. "But during those times, I know it's impossible for my request to happen that I wish you were on my side, that I wish you were with me. I know; I'm a jerk. But can you blame me?"

"I know it was my fault." She sobbed loudly. "But it still hurts to think about the man I love with someone else when I'm thinking about him."

Jordan squeezed his eyes shut and sighed. "I've laid myself open to you. I said that everything I did. It's up to you if you accept me again." He held her hand and squeezed it. "I wish you would accept me, but I won't force you if you don't want to or if you can't." He kissed her on the forehead. "I'll be in the room first, just resting. If you need me, just come see me there."
