Keep It Lit

The long-awaited day had finally arrived. Asmodeus had meticulously organized an event of a lifetime for Maria and the children from the orphanage. Earlier, Sister Cassandra, Maria's godmother, had arrived to inspect the grand Opera House. To Asmodeus' delight, she was pleased with what he had managed to accomplish.

Asmodeus had left no stone unturned in his preparation for Maria and the children's first choir performance at this prestigious venue, a stage that only the wealthiest could afford. He felt a deep sense of pride in his accomplishments, and he hoped that Maria would be left in awe by the mere sight of the epically and otherworldly renovated Opera House.

After Sister Cassandra's inspection, Asmodeus stepped out of the building, eager to take in some fresh air. As he gazed up at the cloudy skies, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The air was crisp and cool, a perfect backdrop for the momentous occasion. Asmodeus couldn't imagine anything going wrong on this beautiful and epic day.

The grand entrance to the Opera House was adorned with intricate carvings and gilded accents, exuding an air of opulence and grandeur. The towering columns and ornate archways created a sense of grandeur and elegance, setting the stage for the performance to come.

Inside, the auditorium was a sight to behold. The plush, velvet-upholstered seats were arranged in neat rows, facing a magnificent stage framed by ornate curtains and intricate lighting fixtures. The acoustics were impeccable, designed to amplify and enhance the voices of the performers.

As Asmodeus took in the breathtaking sight, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. All his hard work, all the obstacles he had overcome, had led to this moment – a moment of pure, unadulterated beauty and triumph. He couldn't wait to see the look of awe and wonder on Maria and the children's faces when they arrived and experienced the grandeur of the Opera House.

Far away from the grand Opera House where Asmodeus was, Lucifer sat in a cozy coffee shop with his associate Lutan, who was also known as Satan. They were clearly engaged in some sort of nefarious plotting, speaking in a coded language that masked their true intentions.

Lucifer began, "The recipe for coffee has never changed. It remains hot in the cold world we have created."

Satan replied, "Let us focus not on the taste of the coffee, but rather on its container. Such a fine drink in a flimsy vessel is doomed to destruction."

At this point, a nosy man sitting nearby overheard their cryptic conversation and spoke up, "What are you freaks going on about?"

Lucifer turned to face the intrusive individual, a look of disdain upon his face. "Humanity is vain and destined for suffering. It would have been better if you had simply minded your own business," he said, his tone dripping with condescension.

Just as Lucifer finished his statement, the patrons of the coffee shop suddenly erupted into a frenzy of violence. The man who had spoken up was the first victim, as the waiter serving him swiftly slit his throat in one swift, brutal motion. The man's eyes went wide with shock and terror as crimson blood gushed from the gaping wound, spilling across the table and onto the floor. He clutched at his neck, gurgling and choking, before collapsing lifelessly onto the ground.

Pandemonium erupted in the once-tranquil coffee shop. Customers began turning on one another, driven by some primal, demonic force. Fists flew, chairs were overturned, and the sound of shattering porcelain and glass filled the air.

A woman screamed as a man tackled her to the ground, his hands closing around her throat. She clawed at his face, her nails drawing blood, but his grip only tightened. Her struggles grew weaker until she went limp, her lifeless eyes staring vacantly.

In the corner, a barista tried to flee, but was cornered by a group of crazed patrons. They descended upon him, raining down blows with their fists and any makeshift weapons they could find - broken mugs, table legs, even the metal milk pitchers. His cries of agony were soon silenced.

Through it all, Lucifer and Satan observed the carnage with detached amusement, their expressions betraying a twisted sense of satisfaction. As the violence reached a fever pitch, they calmly made their way towards the exit, leaving the doomed coffee shop and its hapless victims behind.

Once outside, Satan turned to Lucifer and asked, "Now tell me, do you still like it hot?"

Lucifer flashed a sinister grin. "Always. I'm constantly cooking up something diabolically enticing to keep this boring world ablaze," he replied, his voice dripping with malevolence.

Satan, having witnessed the entire exchange, took this as his cue. Unleashing his unholy powers, he conjured an unquenchable hellfire that engulfed the coffee shop. The resulting explosion reduced the building, the carnaging people, and the once-quality coffee to smoldering cinders.

The two fallen angels stood outside, unfazed by the destruction they had wrought. Lucifer and Satan exchanged a knowing look, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames, as they reveled in the chaos and suffering they had unleashed upon the unsuspecting patrons.
