Take you out on a date

When Eric left her sight, she sighed and went to her room to have a warm sleep, she laid in bed staring at the teddy bear he gave to her. 'I did it for you' she recalled his voice when he said he got it for her. She leaned over and brought the teddy bear close to her. It smells so much like him. His masculine attractive scent.

Though, he doesn't act his age but he's still very much attractive. Lucy closed her eyes and replayed the last conversation they had in her mind. '7 ex girlfriend?' she doubts it but he got a point. He's too handsome and sexy. Which girl wouldn't want him?

She also wants him, she wants to fuck him... The truth but that isn't the only thing she wants from him. She wants his presence, she wants to tell him everything about her. Her past and somehow this time. She wants to treat herself because of him but there's something stopping her.

The prospect that he doesn't want her like she does. He cares for her. She sees that, he wants her treated but he hasn't given her a very good reason for her to trust him and be opened to him.

Everyone changes with time especially the riches, Eric is nice now but what if someday he also treat her like she's really from the slums, that's what scares her. She shouldn't be too affected by his kind comforting attitude towards her.

Lucy couldn't sleep anymore, she sat up and played with bear. Remembering how they got the bear she recalled the thrill ride.

She has nothing to do so she should go try it. She got dressed and left, going alone is kind of boring but she has to and wants to get rid of the fright.

She buckled up and everything she does reminds her of Eric. The ride started and she closed her eyes, then she recalled his words that she should face it. She opened her eyes and gulped, she controlled her heart from hammering so loud, she didn't screamed in fright throughout the ride so she tried it again and this time, she found it so fun. Next time she'd want to show Eric that she's gotten over the fright.

She felt really proud of herself, she felt like she'd won a luxury.

Eric lied to Lucy that he has things he needed to take care of, he just wanted to be alone in his room and think.

Where's he going to now? He doesn't wants to be like his friend Daniel who isn't ready to get a wife and how did he come to think of getting married?

Now, he felt spending time with Lucy is a waste of time, she only wants him to fuck her and that's all. She doesn't wants his friendship or his affection. She told him that a while ago in an indirect way. He couldn't lie to himself, Lucy is the first woman that has ever affected him so much. He cares so much about her and wants her to get well.

These days he sometimes dream of getting married to Lucy, he scoffed. In his dreams. Luciana wouldn't accept him even if he proposes to her, she's just after what his member can offer her.

He sighed and lay on his back looking at the ceiling. He pressed his lips and recalled the kiss they had in the woods. It was so affectionate, she made him awake again after a long time. Eric hasn't been interested in any girl after his last relationship but now that he's 30 he has to find a wife. Someone who'd be his partner and he wouldn't have to waste his time. Time isn't something people should play with because it doesn't wait for anyone.

He wants to talk to Lucy 'cause he's missing her already but he didn't call or text her. He needs to find a wife not only for himself but also for his father. He should give up on finding love. Who knows he might actually fall in love with the woman he gets married to.

Eric didn't call or text Lucy even till the next day. She waited for his text at night but he never send any. So she texted him Instead and when he responded, he made the conversation so short.

Eric isn't upset with Lucy or wants to stay away but felt they should only share a relationship that doesn't require sexual intentions.

Lucy called him when the conversation ended with a good night. When he answered the call. She yelled at him. "What's wrong with you Eric?"

But he didn't say a word.

"Talk to me! Eric" she called his name again.

"Just exhausted, and sleepy. We can talk another time okay?"

"You are pushing me away" she sounded hurt. "I knew you'd someday get tired of me but it's fine... Good night" she hung up and turned off her phone.

Her chest pained. She knew it, and felt it that he'd turn out to be a jerk. He'd ditch her someday that's why she didn't want to be so close. He didn't talk or call her for two days. Why should it bother her so much? She isn't his girlfriend anyway or someone special.

Even when she told herself that, she's still hurt, it felt like something in her chest got squashed and she didn't know when she felt tears bubbling in her eyes.

No! She shouldn't, she should not!!

Lucy was all alone in her house when she heard knocks. The first person that came to her mind was Eric.

She went to the door, unlocking it expecting to see Eric. Maybe he has come to apologize. She wished but when the door flew opened by her. She sighted Daniel. Her so called boss!

She forced a smile when he waved at her with a greeting and also had a bouquet of flowers with him.

Lucy let him in and accepted the flowers he brought for her, she offered a glass of water. She was actually expecting Eric but seems he isn't ready to talk to her or apologize. He's a jerk anyway and she should forget about him.

"So how was your trip? Where did you go to?" She asked sitting on her plastic chair. He did too and stared at her.

"It was okay... Where I went to? Dublin... I and my friends are going back to Dublin in two weeks again" he told her.

"Dublin? I've never been there before" she said and looked down at her table. "I'm just a poor lady who does everything she can to survive how can I now think of leaving the country? I've not even explored Ireland talk less of Dublin" she muttered to herself and thought that way because she's hurt. She's just able to fight for herself that's why she's still alive.

With the bullying and the way people see her... A woman from the slums. She feels hurt about it but she was still able to stand on her feet. She wants to prove to everyone who thinks she'll only be a poor beautiful lady forever, she wants to prove them wrong but what if she just sleeps and never wake up because of the cancer she's suffering from? So, she's just dreaming on.

Daniel stared at her with pity in his eyes but when she met his gaze he looked away. "Why are you going back to Dublin?" She asked, her smiley face now covering her unhappy looking face.

"For a grand wedding" he said.

"Huh?" She asked. "Who's getting married? You?"

"Nah, I'm not ready for marriage"

"Ohh please, you should start thinking of that now. I mean you are 31. You should get yourself a woman"

"Even if I wanna get myself a woman, she should be someone like you" he smiled when she narrowed her eyes.

"Always flattering me" she laughed.

"I'm not flattering you Lucy" he sounded really serious.

"Ohh okay" she surrendered. "So who's getting married then?"

"My father's friend's daughter so my friends and I are invited 'cause we are the special guest" he said.

"Hmm... That's good for you" she nodded. She wanted to ask if he'd eat something but he interrupted her.

"Wanna come along? And see how beautiful Dublin is" he asked.

She was flabbergasted. Leaving her small town and go to Dublin... That would be so fun.

"I can take you to places. We can explore together" he said.

"Why? Why would you want me to come along? I'm just your worker" she said.

"You are my friend Lucy... I know I acted mad the last time but I've made up for it. I gave my workers two days off from work and would come back to celebrate with me on my birthday party. Isn't that nice?" He told her and she smiled.

"Your birthday is in two days?" She asked. "Aww I never knew that. Happy birthday dear boss" she wished in a mocking way.

He frowned. "Don't need your wishes yet, just promise me a good kiss on that day"

"Uh_huh. Not happening" she shook her Index finger.

"Then I'd be the one to kiss you" he sounded seductive. She smiled.

"We'll see" she said.

He nodded and then silence filled the atmosphere.

"So are you coming back to work?" He asked. "Please don't say no"

"Yes, I'll be resuming when you want me to. But this will be the last time I'd accept your apologies" she said strictly.

"Thank you... I'd do my best not to offend you again" he said more like a promise.

"We'll see"

"I wanna take you out on a date"
