Book 2: Chapter 2: Jai Ma Kali

I woke up to a loud crash, Kaixuan and Laurent ran through a ticket before dropping me on the ground and gently as they could managed while being chased by elves. We were up a steep incline, probably heading to the top of a hill that was filled with craggy brown rocks and boulders the size of buses.

Many of the boulders had moss, weeds, and vines of many sorts growing off them, giving the hill a kind of ambience you would only see in a lovers park or something similar. It was a beautiful place, the kind of place most people would want to get married in, but that observation was cut short as a bevy of arrows flew out of the forest in our direction, only for Kaixuan to use his yin-yang shield to stop it.
