Chapter 84

Like what Tas said earlier in the milk tea shop, Gan and he have been slowly interacting again to try and – without rushing it – get back to each other. From simple messages in either an SMS or a chat application, it transitioned to calls – both video or simple voice – whose duration increased too as time went by. However, they have yet to meet face-to-face.

Gan’s phone rings, expecting Tas to be the caller to check on him.

“Sawadee krap P’Mint,” said Gan, a little disappointed.

“Sawadee krap N’Gan,” said a lady’s voice back to him.

“What is it P’Mint?” said Gan to his co-worker at the pharmacy. Gan is slightly annoyed because she is blocking Tas’ attempt to call him.

“Uhm, I saw N’Tas here at the mall yesterday. He is with a girl, and they are eating snacks. I…uhh…saw the girl kissed him.”

Afterwards, Gan receives multiple JPEGs from Mint. When the call ends, he looks at the files – one by one – and he almost crushes his phone with what he sees.
