Chapter 90

As Guy makes his way back to his apartment – one of his cheeks bruised and one side of his lips bloodied – he is beating himself deep inside for what he did to Sun. The pain from Mochi’s punches alone seem to have cut deeper than the searing pins from Khan’s Tormenting Spell. With a red pedestrian light stopping him from walking further, he sips the blood leaking from the side of his lips and swallows it like a bitter pill.

“Let me carry your bag,” said someone from Guy’s right, taking him by surprise. The owner of the voice, who seems to be trying to catch its breath, is clever, stopping at the same side where his bag is.

When Guy looks on the same direction, he sees Mochi fanning himself with his hanky.

“You walk so fast,” Mochi said again.

Guy, however, just disregards him and faces the front again, waiting for the light to turn green.

“Let me carry your bag,” repeated Mochi.

“You should be going home.”
