Lia is shocked. There he stood. With his metallic blue suit which sparkled ever so lightly in the sun, and which clearly cost more than her rent. She gulped. This was the last person in the world whom she had expected. James. Mr. James Dalton. He stood there with his nose buried in a file, having not noticed Lia yet. Lia wondered if it would be better if she quietly tip-toed out and never came back again. But something made her stop and stare. Stare at his face, his forehead which was crowded with strands of black hair. Maybe a second passed or an eternity, after which he raised his eyes.


For a moment, his pupils froze, his mouth still hidden behind the file. It was only a moment before his eyes came back to normal, he closed the file and smiled.
