"Shall we have dinner together tonight, son? We could discuss the preparations for your engagement in detail," asks Rowan as they drive back to their place.


"I'm afraid it won't be possible today, dad. I-uh, have been invited to a friend's bachelor party. I've promised him that I'd attend it," says Ashton, scratching his head.


"Oh ok, no problem. Another day, then."


"Talk to the groom and get some tips from him," winks Rowan. "I'm really excited for you, Ashton. This is going to be the biggest event in our lives, I'm so happy about this arrangement."


Ashton takes his eyes off the road and glances at Rowan's gleeful face. "I'm happy if you're happy, dad." He smiles at his father. They drive back to their mansion and Ashton retires to his room. He lets out an exasperated sigh as he falls on his bed. "It's happening. It's real. I'm getting engaged!"
