Chapter Twelve

I had gotten out the champagne as Bradley and I were celebrating New Years. I poured some into a glass and sipped. I walked over to Bradley and handed him his drink. He yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR after the countdown concluded. As soon as I heard my phone ring, I pulled it from my pocket. Seeing Sarah's message on my screen, I wished her the happiest of new years. A few moments later, I sent a text back to her. She received my message and read it.

It was springtime, and the flowers were blooming. I went shopping with Sarah. While I was in this store, I looked around. She then remembered to purchase a gift for me. Sarah and I left the store after checking out. Sarah turned and looked at me. She handed me a bag, and I took out the gift.

A bible was in it. Sarah smiled and I smiled back at her. Then I softly chuckled, "How could you know that God would open my eyes again?" Sarah shrugged, "I just knew God was telling me you needed it." I softly chuckled.

Recently, God has been telling me he loves me. Sometimes I can hear him telling me this. It wasn't easy for me to be alone with Sarah, so I knew she was meant to be there for me. I had a special bond with her and was beginning to see God's faithfulness.

In my bedroom one night, I knelt on my knees. Crossing my fingers, I bowed my head. Closing my eyes, I began to pray. During my prayer for Sarah, I asked for the continuation of our relationship.

I opened my eyes as soon as my alarm clock went off. After turning off the sound, I got up. In the kitchen, Bradley was cooking, and I emerged from the room feeling very happy. Bradley said good morning to me, and he could tell I was in a good mood.

My relationship with Sarah seems to have lasted for a long time. It has been almost a year. We will be celebrating our anniversary and my birthday at the same time. I opened the door to find Sarah at my door knocking. "How do I do?" I inquired. "You look like a million bucks." I chuckled and opened the door. Sarah stood outside the doorway looking so cute. She wore a long black dress that hit the ground. She definitely had perfume on.

"Are you ready?" I asked. Sarah shook her head. 'Yeah.' This time I wanted to drive, so we walked to Bradley's car together. I opened the door, and Sarah got into the car.

"So what is our plan?"

"I thought you already knew where we were going," I chuckled softly.

Sarah laughed softly.

Serah was truly made by God to be an amazing person. The way she looks at me and smiles tells me everything. My life wouldn't be the same without Sarah. She just has a special quality about her that makes her stand out. I wonder what that is.

As soon as I was drifting off, Sarah caught my attention. Sarah hummed and agreed we should visit the museum. "Sounds good." The light turned green at a stoplight as I approached it. "So museum it is?" Sarah asked. "Museum it is." I repelled back.

Sarah and I walked into the museum and looked around. We held hands again, and the museum was fascinating. I turned my head to face Sarah, who was looking right at the paintings. My mind kept returning to the luck I had when I was looking at her. Sarah turned her head towards me and smiled. Suddenly, we were kissing on the lips.
